I'm glad I called in help from sponsor HomeAdvisor. The crew got the window and weatherproofing in place right before a huge El Niño storm drenched Southern California! http://bit.ly/1Q7V1E2

This little razor rust-busting hack is one I've used in our own home for quite some time.

Today we're sharing how to WIN the big game with football pizza (no matter how your team performs). We pick up some frozen pizza from sponsor Smart Flour Foods and add a few extra toppings.

Game day, done. http://bit.ly/1o642qY

Before you put an item in your basket, ask yourself if it is worth what you're spending...and if you really need it! http://bit.ly/1Kf966k

We have a housekeeper who sporadically rearranges furniture. True story, you guys, she literally moves couches from one wall to another without so much as batting an eye in our direction.

So the big question is...angled furniture: cool? Or not so much?

The original house where we dined at Little River Inn was built in 1853 by Silas Coombs. It's remained in the family ever since! http://bit.ly/1njpIzd

Some Boy is almost five years old now. The oldest of three, I can see the pride of being first in his face. The responsibility. http://bit.ly/1PwHXIX

I've had pneumonia so we're in the middle of a whole lot of health care stuff over here! HSA, PPO, HMO...does your family assess your insurance options every year? http://bit.ly/1X5DS3o

This "rain chain" replaces a traditional down spout from a gutter. I wonder if I could direct it into my rain barrel? http://bit.ly/1RVD5mh

I use store-bought candy melts for everything from cake pops to brownie decorations. They don't impart much flavor, though, so when I'm looking for that candy consistency with a specific taste - butterscotch, caramel, white chocolate - I go ahead and grab some baking chips and make my own DIY candy melts. http://bit.ly/1PyZQpE

Tackling domestic life...one day at a time!
Introduction
Tackling domestic life including cooking, cleaning, parenting, organizing, money management and more...one day at a time! We catch the occasional oven mitt on fire, but we're having tons of fun navigating young married bliss. We have two rambunctious little boys under 2 who help us appreciate the value of silence...and coffee. Lots of coffee.
