I am unable to toggle wireless on/off, mute/unmute, play/pause using Front operation panel LED keys on my Toshiba Qosmio F60. Currently I need to enable WiFi/Bluetooth from within Windows for it to work. Fn+F8 toggle works as soft block/unblock only if I have already enabled WiFi under Windows. Any ideas as how this can be done? The only LED Touch button that works under Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora is the Volume Up/Down button. Touchpad on/off toggle does not work with physical button above the touchpad or Fn+F9 either. Other Fn+ keys work eg., Fn+Esc for mute/unmute, Fn+F1 for lock etc.

Interestingly even when the WiFi is turned off from within Windows on booting Arch with a pen-drive wifi-menu command detects all surrounding wireless networks properly for the first time. Even rfkill shows as hardware unblocked. But once a network is selected it fails and the subsequent rfkill commands show as hardware blocked.

These problems seems related to Direct App Launch Button which probably can be solved in Linux by quickstart http://quickstart.sourceforge.net/
I had raised a thread in Ubuntu, Debian, Red Hat forums as well

Can we get a 'Use only 3G networks' under Mobile network settings for Mobile Data? My network goes to 2G when the 3G network is weak. Results in poor internet connection

I am unable to use the Front Operation Panel LED buttons on my Toshiba Qosmio F60 when on Linux. These buttons control my ECO mode, Wireless(WiFi and Bluetooth) etc. Can anyone help me out on how I can enable it? It probably uses the Direct App Launch ACPI driver for Linux. I have tried asking on Ubuntu and Debian forums with no luck.

Are there verses in the Old Testament which direct us to worship Jesus?  2 Kings 18:4 says that Hezekiah broke into pieces the bronze snake that Moses had made. John 3:14 tries to say that Jesus symbolizes the bronze serpent. Does it mean that Jesus is just the sacrificial Lamb should not be worshiped? I would like to know about verses in the OT which point to worshiping the sacrificial lamb as well.

I installed gnome and gnome-extras but typing gdm gives a console where only the calendar in the upper center and reboot options on the upper right corner appear. Is it working for others? Also typing wifi-menu gives an error "failed to start automatically generated profile by wifi-menu". Tried rebooting but it gives a unable to start and fails. But WiFi works using the USB Live image using the same wifi-menu command. I am new to Arch though.

systemctl enable gdm and a reboot got it working. Login screen still looks ugly though. +Josh Sabboth I wasn't till +Paul Hinchberger III posted the link. Thought gdm at console was same too.

+Cendy Hutchinson Dear Cendy...  first and foremost keep in mind that the bible was NOT written to argue the point of whether or not Jesus was "God manifest in the flesh!" It does however suggest it throughout the pages of the bible.  Cults today go out of their way to deny this and re-write scriptures to prove their point. Since space is limited here, I suggest that you listen to a video and get back to me.

Microsoft held an event at this place. Never thought Microsoft would go to such a third class place. We had to wait outside the hall because the hall was not kept ready. Also the ground floor where food was supplied appeared creepy. Not a good place to go.
