#SunseekerDuo‬   's flight from Switzerland to the home base in Italy. Crossing the Alps again, flying over the Matterhorn.
The Matterhorn just got covered with a cloud cap when Eric and Irena approached it, however, the view on this giant, steep mountain was spectacular.

We are just back from the Swiss Tour.
After our flight to Turin, we headed for the Alps. As we got higher in the mountains, it became very difficult. We hit big downdrafts a few times and we had to run away and run the motor to try again. Eventually we were at the base of the Matterhorn on the Italian side, looking up at an impassible wall of ice. We needed to climb several thousand feet more and then we slipped into Zermatt.
We crested the lowest point, crossing a few hundred feet over people skiing (In August!).
With our goal airport made with ease, we detoured to the Aletsch Glacier, and high mountains behind it. The highest peaks of Switzerland, the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch.
