AMD is continuously loosing market share, unless they embrace some necessary changes that actually make their products desirable they will eventually bankrupt.
Their best bet is to target the GNU/Linux user group and move fully onboard with with FLOSS integration into the kernel. Intel has already done this but not with NVIDIA which they also own.
In FLOSS users will likely go for the company that has fully Open Source support over the actual best performance when it is closed source binaries that prevent them for running the latest versions of everything else in the stack.
AMD is missing its opportunity to become the dominant company in FLOSS hardware and it is sad.
