London is one hell of an expensive place to stay in... unless you stay with FG Properties. A hotel room easily sets you back more than £100/night whereas FG Properties have whole apartments for less than that. I know what I prefer when I'm staying in town for a couple of nights!

When we arrived at our apartment, the heating nor the wifi was working. A quick email to City Relay solved the problems, though, as they immediately sent us different options to get wifi and only a couple of hours later (it was a Sunday) a handyman showed up to fix the heating. Quick service that was very much appreciated.

Loved the smoothie I ordered. Nice little terrace both in the front and in the back. Friendly staff. Free wifi.

Love love love indoor market halls like this. The industrial vibe of the old warehouse, the different food stands... Also loved the fact that it's definitely not all fast food you can get here. On the contrary, there's quality cheese, salami, quiche, Moroccan mezze, sandwiches... I had a quiche from Rechtstreex which was really good and came with some salad and cherry tomatoes. I also bought one of their apple juices, which was both refreshing and deliciously sweet. While it was cozy inside with all the different tables, chairs and couches (and a man playing the piano!), my friends and I preferred sitting outside as the weather was nice and it was a bit less loud there. Plus: you can eat with a view of the water!

Had a wonderful experience sampling three of their dishes and finishing off with a lovely banana-caramel cake and a latte. You can walk through their rooftop garden and see all the fruits, vegetables and herbs they grow and later use in their dishes. The lady who runs the place is super friendly and gladly explains a bit more about each of the dishes, their ingredients and how the place is run and the food is grown on the rooftop. It's not that expensive, but as the food is really healthy (read: not heavy), you might need a snack in the late afternoon to keep going until dinner.

Nice loose tea and cake, but didn't like the ambiance inside so much. It's one big open room with rather bad acoustics so it gets pretty loud when the place is full - and it was when I was there. There was a large group of ladies having High Tea when I visited and I do have to say that looked really good. They also seemed to be having a great time, so perhaps this is more of a place to go to in group and not to quietly enjoy a cup of tea.

Came here because the place won some burger competitions. My Kip Grill was good, but it wasn't extraordinary. Granted: I should have perhaps gotten the "Best Burger of the Netherlands", but I was in the mood for chicken :-) Personnel was very friendly. When my friend hesitated to go sit outside, our waitress immediately proposed to put on the heating if it was too cold. If they ask you if you want fries: do it! The burger is more than enough, but the you can get a wonderful rosemary and lemon sauce with the fries which is more than worth it stuffing yourself for :D
