When fitting masks in Snorkel Bob’s, we provide these simple mask adjustment techniques to ensure comfort and a proper seal for optimal snorkel fun!

1. Adjust both sides of the mask strap equally. Unequal strap distribution may cause mask leakage.
2. Don’t wear a mask too tight. This too, may cause a mask to leak. If you see a mask strap indentation on your snorkel buddy’s face after reef time, loosen the strap. A mask strap should feel snug, secure & comfortable without creating pressure on cheekbones, nose or forehead.
3. Position the mask strap at the “crown” of the head (slightly above the midline of the skull). This will prevent the mask from sliding and filling with water.
4. Adjust your mask before entering the ocean to avoid standing and damaging coral.

See you on the reef!

Check out this manta ray filmed off Maui, Hawaii. The somersaulting is a feeding behavior. Mantas can be seen snorkeling or diving in all Hawaiian islands, but Kona, Hawaii (Big Island) is the hub of manta activity.
