Hands down the best place to Jump in MN! Packers always do a great job, instructors are always helpful, manifest is always super nice, video for my first jumps turned out great! It's awesome to watch how progressive STL is in always trying to make the best experience for jumpers as possible, including some of the best planes in the Midwest! You can easily see passionate STL is about skydiving! Can't wait to start jumping again!

Took a leap. At 18,000 ft. The most breath taking, hyperventilating experience. Scooter poped the chute and asked.."Like my office?" This is my next challenge. To breath...and take it in. Is Scooter still there???

Thanks for the review Heather! We really do have the best view! Scooter has retired from skydiving, and is no longer jumping, however we do have some other great female (and male for that matter) instructors working this year! Hope to see you soon! And yes, definitely remember to breathe :) the second jump is the best!

My mom and sister and I jumped for the first time this last Friday. It was the most incredible and amazing experience ever! The entire staff was happy, fun and very professional. They absolutely know their stuff! My tandem instructor was awesome-and hilarious and a true expert. The photographer who jumped with us to take video is so talented! The video turned out amazing. My mom and sister also had amazing instructors- this was an incredible experience for my family. Thank you skydive the lakes team for making this experience so special. We will be back!

Wow, what an experience and would highly recommend. Be prepared to wait quite a bit before your jump due to the volume they do. Staff was friendly and you can tell they love their job.

Thanks Ben! We definitely are the busiest on the weekends, but do try to get you guys going as quickly as we can. Thanks for your patience, and we do love what we do - I am glad you can tell. The best part is sharing the first jump experience with you guys! We appreciate the feedback. STL

This was a great first time experience. Instructors were great and very helpful. Priced competitively and good discounts. I'll be returning for a second jump this season!! I would recommend going here. Also, my video from a handcam turned out great!

Best experience of my life! My husband and I drove 3 hours away to use this facility and will be doing it again in the future. It was not what I was expecting but was still an amazing time. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They actually turned us away the first day due to bad weather but was super apologetic and got us right in the next day. The video and pictures turned out awesome and truly captured the fun! We are addicted and will recommend Skydive the Lakes to anyone! Thank you for this awesome experience!

I hardly leave review's, but I went twice here and was very upset with my experience. I spent $500 dollars here and wish I could take it elsewhere. The entire business is unorganized. We waited 4 hours each time I went skydiving to get on the plane! We had to fill out 10 pages of paperwork online, then just did the whole thing over again online. They said they take you up to 14,000 feet. It's 14,000 feet sea level, but really they take you up to 13,000 feet because their airport is at 1,000 feet. But pull at 6,000 feet base level. So they essentially are lying to you, and you jump at 13,000 and pull at 6,000. Also the entire staff was rude both times I went. And very unorganized. The tandem jumpers I'm sure are sick of their jobs. But both times on the ride up on the plane, they looked bored and indifferent. The photos didn't turn out both times. They were blurry. They have Go Pro Hero 4's, yet shoot in 540p. Stupid! The video guy was very rude. And they are terrible at instructions and organization. When I was getting training, both times they said something different pre jump. Then the tandem jumpers got mad when we did it wrong. Well teach us the right way! Overall very upsetting experience to me. Long waits, rip off jump, rip off pictures, bad staff. Not to mention they had to change the name of the organization because the manager of the facility was charged with using the plane to transport drugs. Terrible.

Hi Ben, I have checked our tandem database, booking system, and also the Smart Waiver database, and haven't found anyone who jumped by your name. We do have you guys do the waivers online, however we still need you to fill out the one page affidavit stating that it was you who filled out the waiver online, as well as the United Parachute Technologies waiver for the gear that we jump (also one page) which isn't available online yet. If there are ever any video issues we work straight with the customer to resolve them or offer to redo the video and skydive, wasn't aware of any issues. I apologize you felt you had a bad experience, we have a very experienced, fun, and professional staff. We have to be organized in order to do the number of tandems that we do per day. We also tell you to plan for 4-5 hours on weekends in case of weather holds, but we usually have you in and out within 2-3, however we cannot jump in unsafe weather conditions so if we need to hold be assured it is for your safety. This is industry standard. I would not have anyone rude or uncaring working for this company, in fact we have the highest repeat business. If you were so upset with the first experience - you should have let us know when you came back and we would have made it right. Also it was not a name change. The owner of the old skydiving facility that went out of business...he is no longer here and are a new company/new owner....however we are taking on anyone who prepaid for their skydives with Westside as a good faith gesture - so essentially doing free jumps. I apologize you are so upset and would like to discuss this with you (or whoever actually jumped) more if you want to email us kristin@skydivethelakes.com thank you.

I jumped with Westside a few years back and just went out there again after they've re-branded. I've wanted to propose to my girlfriend after skydiving and STL was very supportive and helped me pull it off. They gave me a great deal as a returning customer which was awesome and were the only jump zone in the area to really give me the time of day even with the once in a lifetime event I was trying to coordinate. Their staff and the other jumpers even came out to the landing zone to help me with the little things (video and holding a sign) and were genuinely excited it seemed. This made a big difference to us, everyone out there felt like they were our friends and happy for us. We even found some surprise video and selfies on the camera when we got home which added a couple laughs. So, thanks again to everyone at STL for helping us pull off something I've been wanting to do for a long time. We'll definitely be back!
