Look at all those hearts! East and South pass - what do you open?

Vote your choice and tell us why. Then, play this hand from West's position to see how it works out: http://skybridgeclub.com/play/compete/16-07-06/2/

You finish this auction in a 3NT contract. What do you need to do before you play a single card?

Join Graeme as he guides Bajir through the important step you should take before you start playing.

West opens the bidding with 1!H and you have to decide what to overcall. Look at that wild 8-card !C suit! What should you bid?

Three options might come to mind: you could bid 2!C, you could double, or you could bid higher... What do you decide to do?

If you initially pass, your partner will open 1S . After you respond 2H, partner rebids his spades. What would this usually promise? Why would he rebid spades here?

Of course, there might be another good option you could have done to start the auction besides passing for those playing Weak 2s. Would you open this hand 2H?

Wowzers, what a hand! A number of our Royal Members were discussing this recent hand and the different ways one could bid it.

Who stops at game? Who looks for slam? And, besides asking for Aces, can you think of a way you can explore slam?

This Thanksgiving, we must make a feast from our modest 1NT contract. But there are potential losers in each suit - how should we play this hand?

At first glance, this doesn't seem like the most exciting hand. But don't overlook the opportunity to practice "seeing" the unseen hands.

Based just on the auction and the lead, can you figure out West's hand?

Partner opens the hand and we have 17 points. Should we go to game or slam? We need more information!

(Graeme says he got in trouble for how he bid this hand. What do you think of his bidding?)

Once you start playing, you’ll see you have a clear route to 12 tricks. The challenge becomes figuring out your best shot at that 13th trick – can you find it?

We’ve been talking a lot recently about learning how to visualize the unseen hands.

This hand doesn't look that special at first, but it provides a great chance to practice "seeing" the unseen hands.

@graeme leads @bajir through this hand, training him to build an image of East and West’s hands.

Just by following your gut, you can be a good bridge player. To become a very good player, however, you have to take an extra step.

Graeme teaches Bajir how you can train yourself how to "see" all four hands...

What a hand! Just how strong a hand is it? When you determine the strength of a hand, don’t just count it’s high card points.

Join @tina and @helen as they play through this hand.

How did you bid this? Let us know why you did or didn’t bid slam.

What a hand! But should you go to slam? Grand slam? What suit? How can you get there?

During the conversation regarding this hand, a member asked about bidding Gerber. The answer was if asking for aces after a 1 or 2 NT bid, 4 clubs is ace asking.
I played the hand above again & if I remember correctly the bidding went ( playing North). 1 heart - 2 NT - 4 clubs ( ace asking I thought) but got a 4 spade reply. 3 aces. Couldn't be as I held 2 in hand. Where did I go wrong on the bidding please? I got out of the treacle & made 13 nt, but only because I knew it was there. Thanks for your help.
