The secret is out… As you would all now know… Adidas has just released the most advanced and blackest All Blacks jersey yet ahead of their first November test against England last week. SKUvantage got an extra special sneak peak as Adidas has selected SKUvantage for its flat lay product photography.

Flat lay product photography needs a certain skill and technique to ensure advanced materials are portrayed accurately to online customers and we ensured extra special attention in this product photography job… Adidas have some very advanced technology in these new jerseys such as a unique and special fabric-weaving Woven Carbon which ensures this superior fabric doesn’t compromise on strength, flexibility, weight or comfort.

It was a privilege for the team to work on such a top secret project for Adidas and we think the flat lay photography speaks for it self! Check it out at Adidas.com

Keeping product images and product data up to date is difficult enough for any web site. But for an online grocery web site with up to 100 attributes per product and images changing all the time with promotions, packaging changes and new products, it is a major challenge. This can lead to consumer complaints around missing and incorrect information, especially in a world of increasing food allergies and dietary requirements.

Liquorland recently selected SKUvantage to update product images and data across the full range for its web sites. This provides a great opportunity for suppliers to commission additional content and an extended data set directly from SKUvantage to feed into the website.

A board range of liquor vendors have already signed up to SKUlibrary for the management of their product content, from wine photography to specification data and tasting notes.  With over 2500 drinks products on the SKUlibrary platform, this is a great resource for retailers to easily access supplier managed content.  Clients range from Accolade and Carlton United Breweries, to McWilliams and De Bortoli, and are located around Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne and of course the wine regions.

Whether it is catalogue photography or ecommerce photography, SKUvantage can provide the services required by wine, beer and spirits brands.  By engaging directly with SKUvantage, drinks vendors can own this content and re-use on their own sites and provide to other retailers. With hundreds of retailers subscribed to SKUlibrary, this is  a great way for brands to make their liquor products look good on their online sites.

Retail marketers have a challenge with how to allocate spend. With so many channels, platforms and technologies, combined with increased customer sophistication and a crescendo in general media noise, the challenge of how a brand can reach its audience has become more complex then ever. And it will only get worse. However there is a unique opportunity for retailers and their vendors to own the space where their brand and customers can engage.

Edge media, in partnership with the National Retail Association, SKUvantage and Retail Oasis conducted a survey of Australian retailers. They shared how they are dealing with the content marketing challenge, their successes and the challenges they face.
