On Saturday, May 14, Saint Joseph’s College held its 103rd Commencement on its Standish campus located along the shores of Sebago Lake. The College was proud to confer degrees to members of the Class of 2016, a multigenerational and multicultural group of over 700 campus and online students from 42 states and three countries outside the US.

Saint Joseph’s is pleased to announce that the Green Community Fund, a subsidiary of its Green Revolving Fund (GRF), is now accepting project submissions from members of the College. This focus on smaller projects that may have much longer payback timeframes—or even no financial payback—is designed to foster awareness and understanding of sustainability among members of the College’s community and empower them to develop their own solutions.

In looking ahead to graduation, the College is pleased to announce this year's honorary degree recipients. The honorees are as follows: Anna Gould, philanthropist and co-founder of Camp Sunshine, Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, physician and human rights activist, and Sister Mary Kneeland ’73, former treasurer to the College and member of the Sisters of Mercy. Each will receive a Doctor of Humane Letters Honorary Degree. Dr. Abuelaish will address the graduating class at Commencement.

The 2016 Hot Stove Auction to benefit Men's Baseball was the largest in the event's 12-year history, with more than 220 items put up for bidding and 325 supporters in attendance, resulting in over $26,000 raised for the program.
