Some great ideas about how to spend Valentine's Day in Prague from our friends at Sir Toby's Hostel.
It’s been only two blog posts, but I guess you already got it – I love this city. Being not the most romantic person in general, there is definitely something in the air here that even I can feel. Maybe it is somewhat personal. When Europe was still divided, Prague,[...]

Back in May, Adam and Steve chose the cheap way to get from Poland to Czech, and actually managed to find Sir Toby.
Sort of

To preserve their (mis)adventure for future generations, they contributed it to Where is Toby?, a #sirtobyshostel  's collaborative travel journal blog.

"Found a really smoky old bar where all occupants other than us were easily over the age of 65. Literally not a single word of English spoken in this place, we asked for some pierogies and were offered some goulash. We didn’t really know what it was but we accepted it."

They were first. You could be second. ;)

After consulting some backpacker blogs, we hopped on a bit of a sketchy looking bus for 5 bucks to the town of Cieszyn, located on the Polish-Czech border. Almost no English is spoken in this town but we finally get directions to the border. We figured we'd stop for lunch on the walk to the ...

So, after gathering all the answers from the yesterday's +Sir Toby´s Hostel's Pub Quiz, it seems that everything we thought we knew about the world was wrong!!!
Be careful here ;)
According to the WINNING (and not so winning) answers,
Los Angeles alone has more BARS OF SOAP SOLD than the whole of France, in New Jersey it is illegal for a man to FISH during fishing season, while NO ONE invented the rabies vaccination, ever. Our guess is we got it from aliens
Also, by law in China, you have to be TOILET TRAINED to go to school, and LITTLE BASEBALL is not allowed to be bet on in Las Vegas. Everything else is fine, but little baseball - forget about it.
The capital of Estonia is indeed TALINN, but the city is also known as ESTONIANATATATA, apparently. And in case you play darts, you should know that on a standard dartboard, the number adjacent to the 20 is actually 40. On both sides, number 40. Imagine that triple hit :)
We also learned that in Danish language a "Svangerskabsforebyggendemiddel" means "GOING TO THE TOILET BEFORE BREAKFAST", or "INTERPRETIVE DANCE", depending on the context.
Can you remember, what were your answers?
Or maybe you have a suggestion for a question?

If you would ask "what should I do over the next few days while I am in Prague" the answer would be "check out the #BohemiaJazzFest2014 for some free jazz on #OldTownSquare "

I stayed here back in 2011 (I know the review is a bit late), and it was a great experience! Loved the breakfast spread, and the mixed dorms were very clean and comfy. The front desk was really helpful, even gave us maps and showed us places to see and restaurants to eat! Definitely stay here!

Amazing 5 person dorm room. Great atmosphere within the guests. Situated right next to various tram stops which make getting to any Prague destination super easy. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Prague.

What sets Sir Tobys apart from all hostels is undoubtedly the extremely friendly, patient, and helpful staff. We followed their advice for bars and attractions in Prague and were beyond satisfied. Once we came back to Sir Toby's at 2am with our own handle of absinthe and some dinner groceries. Not only were we allowed to hang out in the pub, which had closed, we were able to cook dinner and the receptionist even gave us speakers to listen to our own iPods with. As the night wore on, more travelers accumulated downstairs creating a chill party atmosphere very similar to hanging out at your friend's house back home. It was one of the best nights on our trip as we were able to meet young people from all over the world in a most friendly atmosphere.

Very good hostel, staff is very nice. Just Make sure you get the 6 or 4 bed dorm. The other rooms are too big. It is close to the cross club, a very hardcore/open minded club where different kinds of music shows are thrown.

We were on a schooltrip in Prague for a week. After a long trip, we arrived in a room called Purple. As we were in it with only 7 People, leaving five spaces to spare. The rooms were incredibly spacey, and clean. The beds were soft and clean as well. So were the bathrooms. Basically the whole hostel is about the best ive ever seen. The staff is very, very kind. After a Day of walking and catching a gaze at the cities most beautiful spots, we came back to find out there was music coming from the basement. The bar downstairs is very cozy, and quite cheap. The beer is good, and So is the music. Everything togheter makes this the best hostel i have ever been to.

bad location but near the DOX, and it is acceptable becoz of the good transport system nice bed so good sleeping quality friendly staff and activities (excellent hostel if you want to meet new fds), well-designed map and cool basement lounge, cute wifi and password hot in the room with only one fan and my roommates said the water was either too hot or too cold for shower, which didn't happen to me

Staff is very nice. We were two people in a room with a double bed and an individual bed. The room had a bathroom with a sink, shower and a toilet. You have to bring your own towels. There was a small cabinet with cups, sugar and coffee with an electric kettle. The Hostel itself is great! You have breakfast (not included with the night price), the shared kitchen is open to any customer and has already salt and kitchen oil. Supermarket is less than one kilometer so you can have one great (and cheap) meal (I suggest black beer Krušovice, really good!). You have dozens of city guides on the main lobby. And there is free wi-fi at all the hostel. The price is very affordable. Although we went there in november, there is a great backyard to enjoy the sun or have a wonderful meal. Location is not at the historic center of Prague, but there are transports about 250 meters from the hostel or you can walk about 2 km to the river which is next to the historic centre

Great hostel- Like others have said, it's a little far from the city center, but there is a tram station at the end of the block that makes getting around a piece of cake. I went alone, and the hostel does a great job of providing a place to socialize and make new friends.
