Some people are still using Microsoft's Internet Explorer 8, 7 or even 6 (yikes!). Even Microsoft will tell you to quit using old versions of their venerable Internet browser: http://www.ie6countdown.com

If you're one of the many people who still use IE8 (or older), you don't know what you're missing!

For the sake of yourself and your loved ones, please download and install Google Chrome or Firefox. These browsers support more modern websites, are much faster and infinitely better at keeping you safe on the web.

Chrome: http://chrome.google.com
Firefox: http://www.getfirefox.com
Internet Explorer 9: http://www.ie9.com
Its name was Internet Explorer 6. Now that we’re in 2011, in an era of modern web standards, it’s time to say goodbye to IE 6. Update from IE 6 now to latest Internet Explorer.

When laptop cooling systems become clogged with dust, it can cause a number of problems. For laptops, there is a very narrow margin between "runs fine" and "overheating". It takes a remarkably small amount of dust to raise temperatures to dangerous levels.

When laptops overheat, they slow themselves down to prevent damage. This can cause very poor performance. Even with this protective measure though, laptops can still be permanently damaged from heat, so it is important to operate laptops in a relatively clean environment and periodically dust the cooling assembly (blow compressed air through the exhaust vents) once every several months to a year.

If you let dust build up -- for many laptops -- the only possible way to clean it out is to have it taken apart as in these photos. That's when you have to take it someone like me. :-)

Our $1,200 computer keyboard got messed up because of water spill. it was nice enough to only charge for the part and he was willing to put the new keyboard for free. Other places I called charged additional $35-$40 for labor. Thank you.
