We know that we have been a little quieter than usual recently, this is because +Paul Godbold  has been travelling around the UK (not providing his usual instruction and insight for the social media team) doing a lot of media including driving one very special Rolls-Royce Phantom, the actual official car of Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. He's taken a lot of photos and some unique video which we'll be showing you soon.

The Tonino Lamborghini GT2 805s
The GT2 line quartz watches represent the evolution of its predecessor, the GT1 series. They owe their name to the Gran Turismo class, and take their inspiration from the brand’s automotive heritage. The GT2 are chronograph watches characterized by a carbon fiber background and colored satin-brushed stainless steel. The strap is available in polished or PVD brushed stainless steel, in crocodile print leather, or with a central weave lining in carbon fiber. The black PVD buckle features the ‘Tonino Lamborghini’ engraving and the brand’s shield in 3D.

The votes are in, and the winner of the Chevrolet Corvette Student Showcase Challenge is Dan Wang from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Wang received the most votes for his images on the Corvette Facebook page, earning him the $5,000 grand prize.

Chevrolet introduced the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible last week at the New York Auto Show. Wang was one of three students who participated in the competition and had the opportunity to photograph the vehicle before its public reveal. Wang chose to portray how the Z06 Convertible would look on the road by using unique lighting techniques and background elements.

Range Rover LWB will be the first diesel hybrid on sale in China
Land Rover has further progressed the development of its acclaimed Range Rover with the global debut of the Range Rover Hybrid Long Wheelbase at the Beijing motor show. The derivative brings together two of the most recent innovations in the Range Rover line-up in a vehicle that offers an unprecedented combination of premium luxury, interior space, exceptional fuel and emissions performance and no compromise in Land Rover’s renowned breadth of capability.

Together with the Range Rover Sport Hybrid, it will be the first diesel hybrid model from any manufacturer to be offered in China. China is recognised by Land Rover as a potentially strong market for its new premium hybrids, whilst the long wheelbase design is identified as best suiting Chinese customers’ preferences for luxury and spaciousness.

Global order books will open in May and first deliveries to customers in China are expected from the end of the year. This new derivative strengthens the status of the Range Rover as one of the world’s most successful premium vehicle ranges, witnessed in more than 100 awards amassed by the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in the past 18 months.

The production vehicles benefit from valuable insights Land Rover gained from its Silk Trail expedition in 2013. A fleet of Range Rover Hybrids proved their durability and all-terrain capability on a gruelling 16,000km route from the Land Rover factory in Solihull, across central Asia to the Mumbai headquarters of Tata, Land Rover’s parent company. After the journey, the vehicles were stripped down and scrutinised by Land Rover engineers to improve understanding of how the designs and technologies can be fine-tuned.

The Range Rover Hybrid powertrain combines Land Rover’s 3.0-litre SDV6 diesel engine with a 35kW electric motor, integrated with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The system allows the driver to select from three different drive modes to maximise performance or efficiency, and is capable of delivering 26 per cent lower CO2 emissions (169g/km) and 6.4 l/100 km (44.1mpg).

Frank Jutzi Table clock with mysterious tourbillon
The central idea of this clock is the mysterious tourbillon. The handmade 8-days movement drives mysteriously the "flying" tourbillon thanks to a visible wheel. The minutes are shown by a minute-hand whereas the hours appear on the top in a window on the ring in the upper part of the clock. All parts of the case are gilt. For the tree trunk, the ground and the branches more than 2 kg of silver (0.925) has been used. The case is set with nearly 100 engraved and enameled ivy leaves. Two cut and engraved kingfishers made of lapis lazuli with opal and onyx parts and 18 ct. gold feet are fixed on the two branches. For the base, lapis lazuli of the best quality has been used as well.

It's a unique piece and the dimensions are: width 280 mm, height 450 mm, depth 162 mm

The old boy gets a little more 'Pep'
Mercedes-AMG presents the most extreme version of the celebrated SLS, the 2014 model-year SLS AMG Black Series. Inspired by the SLS AMG GT3 race car, the fifth Black Seriesmodel from Mercedes-AMG boasts a mix of breathtaking design, outstanding driving dynamics and uncompromising lightweight construction in line with the AMG Lightweight Performance strategy. With a curb weight of 3,417 pounds, the 2014 SLS AMG Black Seriesachieves a power/weight ratio of 5.49 lb / hp. The AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine generates 622 horsepower at 7,400 rpm and accelerates the most dynamic SLS of all time to 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds.

The uprated AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine generates 622 hp and 468 lb-ft of torque, making the 2014 SLS AMGBlack Series the most powerful AMG high- performance automobile with a combustion engine. Only the SLS AMG Electric Drive with a maximum output of 740 hp has more power.

The AMG V8 engine in the SLS AMG Black Series also has an additional specialized mounting system. A gas-filled strut braces the eight-cylinder engine against the body, effectively eliminating undesired load shifts during highly-dynamic race-track driving. In line with the AMG philosophy "one man, one engine," the 6.3-liter V8 engine is hand-built in the AMG factory in Affalterbach, Germany. This hand-made quality is confirmed by the black AMG engine badge bearing the signature of the engine builder, which is a hallmark of the Black Series models.
