Out of curiosity what is to stop someone from nicking your charging cable and leaving you stranded?

Moving from a Hard disk to a SSD (Solid State Drive)
First things first, Do you need an SSD ? If you're reading this post I assume you've got one and the decision has already been made.  If you don't have one the decision making criteria is a little different but equally simple.  It's like the difference betw...

Jeremy Clarkson
Jeremy Clarkson appears to have been suspended following a 'fracas' over catering. I have no sympathy for him.  If he is innocent then he will be cleared, if not then he'll probably get a warning or dismissal.  All of this was inevitable.  He doesn't care. ...

Farcry 4 Ethics & plot
I don't often blog.  This time I'm doing it as I feel strongly about the direction of video games in general. For me, First Person Shooters (FPS), only really have a few specific morality motivators 'the greater good', survival or no plot at all (Team fortr...

Wow. Bad work +Samsung USA+Samsung Support USA

Woke up today with completely trashed filesystem on desktop. Spending Birthday re-installing... Thanks Samsung - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fstrim/+bug/1449005 (A bug in their recent SSD firmware for 840 evo)
"As Linux is open source and can be modified by anyone, we do not support Linux. We advise users to disable Queued TRIM in Linux, as doing so will allow Sequential TRIM to run in the OS. .... and have a good day"
Will be my last Samsung SSD bought that's for sure - the firmware update was to workaround another issue with performance degradation... :/

I'd agree with cheaper.... But faster is subjective. Yeah the 0-60 is quicker than most cars but if you did do that I'm not sure you'd get the range that you do with a comparable petrol/diesel car and you wouldn't have the quantity of places to refuel at... So I'm not sure if, in a speed trial, the Tesla would be faster than A.N other car.

Would love to hear the rationale for including that statement.

Relationships
I've been married for nearly 15 years. Every time we have an argument I want to blame marriage.  But I'm wrong.  Marriage is, in reality, only a legal binding of two people.  It puts no onus on anyone to work together, see the other persons point of view.  ...

To LOCA or not to LOCA
I recently broke the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S3.  I paid £60 to have it repaired by a guy at the local market. To clarify at this point it was only the glass that was broken, not the digitiser.  This means, to the layman, that although the glass was bro...

Fed up of all these Jeremy Clarkson support posts. Why should the rules be any different for him? Is he above the law? #noneofourbusiness

Brilliant food, great service, classy location and furnishing. Great value too. Nothing to dislike at all.

Not exactly fast food. You have to wait but I'd rather wait and have hot and fresh food rather than warm and flaccid. I only have the Zinger meal but it's always been typical KFC fare. Moderately tasty and reliable.
