America’s police have become too militarised

"These programmes provide useful defensive equipment, such as body armour and helmets. But it is hard to see why Fargo, North Dakota—a city that averages fewer than two murders a year—needs an armoured personnel-carrier with a rotating turret. Keene, a small town in New Hampshire which had three homicides between 1999 and 2012, spent nearly $286,000 on an armoured personnel-carrier known as a BearCat. The local police chief said it would be used to patrol Keene’s “Pumpkin Festival and other dangerous situations”."

Russian parliament officially adopts Amnesty bill in 3rd reading. This means the #Arctic30 are granted amnesty.

We’re relieved, but we’re not celebrating. The Arctic 30 spent two months in jail for a crime they didn’t commit. The charges should never have been brought in the first place.

They may soon be truly free, but there’s no amnesty for the Arctic. They may soon be home, but the Arctic remains a fragile global treasure under assault by oil companies and the rising temperatures they’re driving.

Right now our thoughts are with our Russian colleagues. If they accept this amnesty they will have criminal records in the country where they live, and all for something they didn’t do.

This is the sad reality in Sweden 2013. We have racists in parliament who are well on their way to become the third largest political party in Sweden. Their supporters swarm the web and spam news and social media sites with their xenophobic lies and hate. At the same time neo-nazis roam the streets and attacks peaceful pro-democratic protesters.

non-stop talk radio broadcast around the world, along with the internet, has brainwashed them just like Hitler used the tactic of non-stop propaganda through radio. Repetition is a powerful form of mind control.
