Since I updated my laptop to Windows 10, it seems Microsoft are using it more than I do. They just pop on and update it when ever they like - every ten minutes it seems.

This is still the case more than a year later. Why not write the operating system, test it and then sell it, like the good old days?

I was wondering if I can send a bill for electricity to them. That laptop never got hot while it was Windows 7. Now it heats up just a few moments after switching it on, with the fans on maximum. My HP workstation that is busy all day doesn't get that hot but, luckily, I never did upgrade it to Windows 10.

Microsoft, can I have my laptop back, please?

Oh, and by the way, what's with messing up my WIFI connectivity this morning?

Poor show, fellas. Poor show.

Bring on Windows 11 with a hand-written apology "Splash/Welcome" screen.

I was just looking for other people's beach barbecues and found this picture from the 1940s.
Lovely snapshot of history.

The new shape #Landrover #Discovery sped past me on the northbound M5 near Stroud today at around 6pm. The stealth camouflage could not hide the awful styling shapes similar to the Discovery Sport, though. Another thing ruined by over-design. Oh well....

A little something I worked on this January.
S.i.2.G. had a busy January, creating an animated corporate communication video for Network Rail.
This is our shortened 'Director's Cut', showcasing the 3D CGI animation of trains and a selection of the works that go toward maintaining a railway network.
This job was a fast-turn-around video.  We used 3DS Max to create the 3D animation, modelling all the objects in low poly, to keep render times (and cost) down.  We didn't have time to add UV coordinates or texture maps, which also kept render times and costs down.
If you'd like an animated video for you company communications we'd be happy to give you a quote.

A PHP and MySQL tutorial for creating lists with a customisable order.
That really saved me from over-complicating it!

Cold, covered in mud and creepy-crawlies, but we brought home a rather atmospheric photograph.
