Great place to pick up any kind of gadget or computer accessories you can't find in a usual big box store like Best Buy. Also great prices. Cheap shipping and you can also order to pick up in one of there locations. Staff at the Lansdowne location was very helpful and sorted out a last minute pickup order for me on the phone. Always had a good experience shopping with NCIX at Aberdeen Center as well.

Nice place for a quick stirfry or curry at a decent price, especially considering the limited selection of asian food in Playa del Carmen.

I originally had a 1 star review on here, due to a waiter there who insisted that my expat friend pay more of a tip, even though we had already left a 15% tip. She ended up leaving more because she's very polite. I look like I speak Spanish but speak very little and my friend is fluent. Had I had known this was the situation I would have made a huge scene. It was a nice afternoon there otherwise. I changed my review as one of the owners read it and took the time to message me to apologize and get the details, saying he had several similar complaints and has fired the staff in question. I understand no business owner wants bad staff, especially ones going as far as asking for extra tip when none is even required. He has invited us both back for drinks and I'm sure we'll have a great time.

Spent a few months in Playa del Carmen and had my fair share of smoothies. Fruzo definitely had the best. I had probably around 40-50 smoothies from them and they were amazing every time. They also offer regular juices, fruit popsicles, wheatgrass shots, ginger shots and tons of smoothie flavours and option (like adding spinach, flax, chia seeds, yogurt, coconut milk, honey agave syrup, etc) Also have a Connect 4 to play while you wait and the owners and staff are super nice.

Nice little Argentinean bbq spot. Just a bar with seats and a small barrel table. Open afternoon till late night. No liquor served but there's a small market next door for beer. Been here like 50 times because I'm in love with their choripan sausage sandwich. tried the rib eye and it was great. Burger was simple and good too, better than most places in Playa del Carmen if you have a craving for one. Crispy fries and several hot sauces to try out. If you like it really spicy with a great flavour, ask for their homemade habanero salsa.

Had a dive photographer friend take me there yesterday. It has hosted a bunch of huge events and is an amazing venue, but doesn't have much of a presence online. It's in a secluded area and was wasn't busy at all. Apparently it's always pretty quiet, so it's perfect if you want a beach club like that. I didn't stay at the hotel/condos, but the beach club was huge with lots of room inside and outside. The staff very friendly. A waiter was always running up and down from the beach with beers which is very appreciated by their thirsty guests. Tried the guacamole and chips, which were delicious, plenty and cheaper than they should be. I'm a self-proclaimed french fry connoisseur and tried them there with our beers, they had some citrus/lime-pepper on them and they were extremely good. there is a underground freshwater river that flows into the a little alcove in the ocean, which acts as a beautiful natural swimming pool. It's full of small fish and plant life and makes a nice little snorkle spot too. I'll be going back again to chill in the pool and enjoy their french fries again for sure. I've also uploaded a photo of it to their google listing. (just the pool, somehow forgot to instagram the fries) It cost 100 pesos to enter and was definitely worth it. I'm pretty sure it included a free beer at the beach club too, which is a bonus.

Lucky to have a friend in the area who introduced me to this place, as it's way out of the tourist zone in Playa del Carmen. So I felt I had to review it on here and say It's the best bbq chicken I've ever had. Just a mild spicy heat, but tons of flavour and they also have a tasty hot sauce if you like really spicy. They deliver and speak English so if you can't make it out there or don't speak Spanish they can still look after you.
