Latest IR out now!
You can now semi-blind pre-order the five games in Indie Royale's April Fools Bundle at our official website: http://www.indieroyale.com.

Headlining the bundle in an acclaimed tower-defense game with a free built-in expansion (for Windows on Steam, Desura, and DRM-free). Featured alongside it is a retro turn-based dungeon crawler (for Windows and Mac in a Steam debut, Windows and Linux on Desura, and Windows/Mac/Linux DRM-free), a pair of titles from the same developer spanning platformer shooter and horizontal shmup (for Windows on Steam, Desura, and DRM-free), and an incendiary 2D action platformer (for Windows on Desura and DRM-free).

Those who pre-order the April Fools Bundle receive an awesome vocoder-heavy bonus: Sexy Synthesizer's Japanese '80s-style chip album Rock: Deluxe Edition, available in .FLAC and HQ .MP3 file formats. Those who pay over the minimum while the bundle is live will also receive the bonus.

Indie Royale's April Fools Bundle will launch soon at $3.99 USD and up - watch this page for immediate notice when the bundle goes live.

Part way through the latest Indie Royale bundle that I help organize, including the excellent Soulcaster I and II in PC debut form, woo.

As I note on my personal site: "You'll find the full set of farewells on this over at my company's alt.video game blog GameSetWatch - http://www.gamesetwatch.com - including notes from current site editors Eric Caoili and Danny Cowan, but I wanted to crosspost my comments as we put the site into comfy but sad retirement. Already seeing lots of tributes on Twitter, which we greatly appreciate - means a lot to us."

Next Indie Royale bundle - http://www.indieroyale.com/ - is launching on Tuesday, and we've been trying to switch up things a bit, with a blind pre-order for $3.99 USD for those who just want to get their games at a guaranteed low price. (We'll launch at $2.99 and it'll go up from there.)

A surprisingly decent amount of people are happy with blind preorders because they trust us to provide good up and coming games from great indies, which is... heartening. And we'll happily refund you if you just bought all of the titles in the Steam sales this weekend, haw.

(We're also trying to forestall some really nasty server-crushing bargain hunter-fu, of course - see open letter here - http://www.indieroyale.com/newsletter/80 - for more information.)

Picked up the very 'unofficial' The Best Bootlegs In The World Ever' CD at Amoeba's bargain bin the other day (basically a starting point for mashups!), and completely forgot about this awesome Celine Dion vs. Sigur Ros track:

Made a personal blog post about Indie Royale, which we launched the other week to some significant degree of success. Next one starts on Thursday, and we have a bumper line-up of intriguing indie titles again, yay.

Haven't really had a chance to talk about it much because, you know, BUSY/PANIC, but we (IndieGames.com and our Australian partners Desura) launched the Indie Royale bundle site on Wednesday and it's been a bit of a success!

I dreamed up and co-created the site and the fairly interesting pricing algorithm - which gradually raises the price as people buy, but allows folks to pay more than the minimum and drop the price for others.

I'll try to do a blog post about our experiences making the site and the ethos behind it in the next few days. But in the meantime, there's still 1 and a half days to go, and there's four great indie games for under $4 right now, so... you know what to do?
