This can only be described as a bed and breakfast second to none. This family has thought of every detail. They treat you like family from the time you walk in till the time you check out. They show genuine interest in what you have planned and make every attempt to give you input from their personal experiences so you enjoy your stay. This has been my first B&B experience, but in the military I have traveled all over the world. I've stayed in more motels then I care to mention and I have never had service and personalized attention like this family provides. The house and property are beautiful and kept immaculate. I'm sure not every B&B is like this just like every motel is different even when its in the same franchise. The bar has been set so high by this family its unbelievable. To my next B&B good luck because you have try to top my experience here at Silverstone Inn and Suites!

In short for these prices I'll stay in a generic hotel. Pros: very clean; owners are very nice; owners take pride in decorations, most art stitching you see was done by owners; Room is like what photo shows on website; hours and rules are clearly listed online and in books in room; views are fantastic, very peaceful and relaxed; Location is great walking distance from mall, and music hall for concerts. Cons:A bit pricey; Decorations are grandmom style; The beds are very firm; woke up feeling sore and tired; lots of stairs, those who cannot walk up stairs will have issues; The hours suck for check in 4-7pm only and breakfast 9-9:30 only. For those of us who like to stay out real late, those check in times won't work. For those of us who get up early those breakfast hours will not work. The owner was told and provided a mini bread loaf for us, but no breakfast at a bed and breakfast. Rooms do not seem very kids friendly.

By far the BEST Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed at. Immaculate, Luxurious, Peaceful and SO much more. Not to mention the entire property is powered on Solar Energy. We highly recommend Silverstone. You will not be disappointed!

Outstanding Bed & Breakfast! Just returned from a 3 day getaway and the Silverstone Inn has left a great impression on my wife and me. What gracious hosts and a wonderful ambiance. We look forward to returning. The location is excellent because the Inn is about a quarter mile from the heavy traffic of the main roads. Feels secluded yet perfectly located to major shopping and dining. Go there... you won't forget it.

The stop at the Silverstone was a surprise for my fiance, and it turned out to be the best part of our whole trip. Tarah and I loved the fact that we got to feed the sheep from the balcony of the Butternut Cottage, which is the only room available that is its own detached building. After feeding bread to the sheep, Tarah and I made use of the hot tub and stared into the night sky. We felt as though we were in the middle of the deep country; it was hard to believe that there is a Target within walking distance. In the morning, Tarah and I went into the main building to meet the Wortel's for breakfast. Our host was busy in the kitchen and our hostess was cheerfully entertaining in the dining room. Other guests, whom I had befriended were sitting a few tables away, and while we waited for breakfast, we all had a great conversation. Mr. Wortel's Pannekuchen are definitely worth trying. Tarah had never had Pannekuchen before, and after trying his, she said she would definitely eat them again. All-in-all, if you are looking for a quiet get-away in a peaceful farming community that is not too far away from the conveniences of modern life, then the Silverstone Inn is the place for you! Oh!, and soon they will be able to host weddings as well! I only wish that Tarah and I lived closer so that it could be our venue!

You truly cannot find a better bed and breakfast in the Lancaster area than Silverstone. My fiancé and I have been working our way through the bed and breakfasts of Lancaster County and have finally found the perfect one. Not one of the bed and breakfasts can compete with the location, seclusion, elegance, and luxury accommodations that Silverstone provides. This family run Inn has the quality of a top notch hotel and we highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Lancaster area. Not only is the Inn close to all attractions but it is nestled in-between farmland and away from busy roads. We stayed in the Copper Beech Suite and that room has absolutely everything you could need. We had a king size bed, double Jacuzzi in the bedroom, double shower in the bathroom, fireplace, mini kitchenette, two flat screen TV’s, our own thermostat and we even had our own private balcony which overlooked their Amish Bishop neighbor and a couple side roads that had Amish buggies passing by. Their Amish neighbor even works part of the Silverstone’s fields which is amazing to watch. The property has over 15 acres with sheep, barns, a pond, a solar panel field, a maple grove where they tap their own maple syrup and even a stream originating on the property below the spring house. The house is full of history and the owners, Toni & Lorin, did an AMAZING job at renovating the Inn. They were able to maintain the historic charm while incorporating all the modern conveniences you could ever need. To top it all off the owner’s daughter Miranda and her boyfriend Nick make you feel at home. Nick prepared some amazing breakfasts for us including almond-encrusted french toast fingers with homemade maple syrup and country omelets stuffed with fresh produce from their own garden. Breakfasts was gourmet and delicious. Miranda was our server and gave us great recommendations for attractions in the area as well as restaurants to eat at. Of all the bed and breakfasts we have been too this one far exceeds the rest with its high standard of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality. Needless to say we will be coming back. You won’t regret choosing the Silverstone Inn & Suites. Thank you again Toni, Lorin, Miranda & Nick for a romantic and relaxing getaway!

My husband & I visited Lancaster County for the first time this past weekend. We are so pleased that we chose to stay in this wonderful home! It is actually better in person than on the web site!
