The long-awaited heatwave is finally here. Mid April holiday in the welcoming heat, under the beautiful sun and most "importantly" on the solid ground.
Enjoy the sunshine wherever you are!

Loe Bar:- Lovely walk and eye-catching scenery (Just 10 miles from Silver Sands)

The weekend was bitterly cold but it hasn’t stopped coastal walkers and dog lovers to explore the beautiful Loe – the largest natural fresh water lake in Cornwall - and walking on the sand bar - shingle bank which separates The Loe from the treacherous sea.

For swimmers, with the combination of powerful waves, a steep slippery shingle bank and vicious currents, the beach is very dangerous for bathing and swimming so please don’t attempt to swim here.

Recently, massive pumps have been installed on the beach to pump thousands of gallons of water from the fresh water lake to prevent flooding of homes in Helston so do take extra care while you’re there with your children or four legged friends.

For coastal walkers, with the wet winter we have been having, the coastal route has been officially closed from The Loe to Porthleven and there is a long diversion in place.
