The 2016 Honda Pilot Elite Doubles Down on Luxury

The Honda Pilot is a model most commonly associated with utility and functionality, making it one of the most popular family SUVs on the road today. But with the forthcoming release of the 2016 Honda Pilot, this completely redesigned vehicle will be available with unprecedented levels of luxury.

The #2016HondaPilotElite will debut at the top of the trim ladder and run on a 3.5L V6 engine that is projected to deliver 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It will come paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, but a nine-speed will be available to drivers that require maximum fuel efficiency. Drivers that focus more on performance will be excited to hear about the customizable driving modes available on all-wheel drive configurations, allowing the driver to instantly adjust for sand, snow, mud, and normal pavement.

Those powertrain updates are impressive, but the interior is where this trim really highlights its luxury credentials. Premium features include second-row captain's chairs, heated and ventilated front seats, a standard rear-seat entertainment system, satellite navigation, a top-of-the-line stereo system, and a panoramic glass roof. Advanced safety features include adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist for effortless highway driving. 

Pricing details for the #2016HondaPilot have not yet been released, but estimates suggest that this vehicle will be an accessible option for drivers that want an outstanding automobile that doesn't break the budget. The highest level trim of the outgoing Pilot retails for $41,620. The Elite will cost more than that, but don't expect a wildly elevated asking price. Honda has built their reputation building great cars for real drivers, and there is no reason to expect that to change. 

There is still a lot we have yet to learn about this impressive new Pilot, but by all indications it will be a standout in the family SUV segment. The 2016 Honda Civic to Feature Major Changes

The 2016 Honda Civic was recently unveiled at the New York Auto Show, and for the upcoming model year it's clearly been designed to change the way drivers think about this compact sedan. It's fair to say that the newest Civic was the smash of the show, not only because it sparked so much conversation and surprise, but also because the vast majority of the response was overwhelmingly positive. 

We know that Raynham and Easton area drivers (http://www.silkohonda.com/cities/honda-dealer-near-easton-ma/) will be pleased to learn about what to expect when the 2016 Honda Civic hits our showroom at Silko Honda!

The Honda Civic (http://www.silkohonda.com/models/2015-honda-civic/) has been one of the country's most popular cars year in and year out. Over time it has developed a reputation for reliability and practicality. What often gets overlooked is that the Civic used to have quite a reputation for performance and style, as well.

The look of the #2016HondaCivic is significantly sportier than in years past, with a longer hood, a lower and wider stance, new LED running lights, and a unique wrap-around taillight design. Also new will be a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder, as well as performance sedan and hatchback versions. Longtime Civic fans will also be pleased to hear that the performance-oriented Civic R-Type will finally be coming to American shores. Simply put, the next generation of the Civic will be loaded with options.

The #newCivic that critics saw recently is technically just a concept car, but experts from both inside and outside Honda say that it hews closely to the version entering production. There have also been rumors that a hybrid version will become available, likely pushing the Civic to the top of the current fuel-efficiency leaders.

If you are as excited about this new Civic as we are, you won't have long to wait before you can check it out in person. The sedan version will roll onto showroom floors this fall, and the coupe and hatchback versions will follow soon after. There is still a lot left to learn about the forthcoming Civic, meaning that other big surprises could be in store.

The 2016 Honda Pilot Release Date is Coming Soon

The 2016 Honda Pilot (http://www.silkohonda.com/models/2016-honda-pilot/) has undergone a complete redesign that has the automotive community buzzing. This three-row SUV has always been known for its practicality and is especially popular with families. But in addition to its kid-friendliness and overall utility, the Pilot will now show off some style.

Details have been steadily leaking out, but we now know for sure that the #2016HondaPilot  release date is scheduled for the beginning of summer 2015. That means it will start arriving on our showroom floor in just a few weeks' time, and we anticipate that the response will be enthusiastic from the start. 

The new Pilot will be powered by a 3.5L V6 engine that delivers 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque – both big gains over the outgoing Pilot (http://www.silkohonda.com/models/2015-honda-pilot/). Despite being more powerful, the SUV is also now more efficient, delivering ratings of as high as 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway*, according to EPA estimates, which should have a big impact on the family budget.

Towing capacity has also climbed, now reaching 5,000 pounds.
The interior has been similarly upgraded. The vehicle is slightly larger overall, creating more space inside for all passengers. Much of the dashboard and seating has also been reworked, helping to improve visibility and accessibility and introducing new cubbies and storage spaces to help avoid clutter. A touchscreen infotainment interface is also now standard, helping pack more features into a smaller space.

Honda engineers have also loaded the #2016Pilot  with the some of the most advanced safety features in the industry including a forward-collision warning with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. These are optional on all trims and standard on higher level trims. Also standard at the high end is a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, automatic high beams, and LED headlights.

Are You Ready for the New 2016 Honda Civic?
 
2016 will mark the 10th generation of the #HondaCivic (http://www.silkohonda.com/new-vehicles/civic/). The Civic was introduced by Honda in 1972 and has gone from being an economical choice to one of the top selling cars in the United States. And in the 2016 model year, Honda has plans to completely reinvent their flagship car in a way that will revolutionize the compact car segment.
 
On April 1st, 2015, Honda introduced the #CivicConceptcar at the New York Auto Show. While promising sporty and aggressive new features, very little information was given about the Civic Concept, building up the hype around the redesign of this familiar car to epic proportions. But now Civic fans have more to go on as sharp-eyed auto fans have recently spotted a new body type of Civic on its road test. 

The #new2016Civic model will feature five-door liftback, a body type that hasn't been part of the Civic lineup for a while. The new liftback will be patterned after the Civic Concept, and will most likely arrive on the market following the basic sedan and coupe versions. 

The standard powertrain is slated to be a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine, featuring VTEC variable valve timing, and matched to a Continuous Variable Transmission or a six-speed manual. U.S. Honda fans shouldn't get too excited yet, though as this car was spotted in Europe, and it's possible that it won't be available in North America this year. 

Other cars in the 2016 Honda Civic lineup include the hatchback, which has previously only been sold in overseas markets; this means that, along with the familiar Si, the performance-heavy Type R will also be available to U.S. Honda buyers for the first time ever.

Sales rep make fake promises. Don't fall into there trap if they offer free interior car wash or services. Moment you give the cheque there tone takes an u turn and you will realize you made a mistake. They will make you run around as no one listens to anyone else. My husband bought a certified Civic from here. The ones sitting on the counter and a guy whose office is just in front of entrance are very unprofessional. They think themselves to be too mighty to answer your simple questions and will make fun of the situation and customers behind their backs.

Called to bring my car for a recall. Do not provide loaner and only a 2 mile shuttle. Ridiculous!!! So am I supposed to rent a car because Honda doesn't know how to make a car without defects? And because Silko Honda only offers a 2 mile shuttle?

We just leased our third Honda Pilot, Silko called us with a great opportunity to convert our 2012 lease to a new 2014. The process was super quick and simple, we love driving the new vehicle. We had a brief meeting on Tuesday night and picked up the new vehicle on Wednesday, does not get much quicker than that. They listen to our request and delivered the car we requested with the correct: color, trim level, and most importantly price. Silko has been our go to dealer for years now. We are a three Honda family and have not driven anything else in the last 15 years.

My husband and I recently bought a Honda Pilot Touring at Silko. Raul Echeverria, our salesman, was fabulous! He was very attentive, not pushy and knowledgeable about the Honda Products. Even though we have previously owned a Pilot, Raul insisted on us taking a test drive. It was the best test drive we have ever experienced. Most car dealerships have a planned route to go, but Raul brought us on the highway and took us all around the area so we could experience different road situations. The test ride took over 1/2 hour! We really got a feel for the vehicle. He even called us the day after we bought the car to see how everything was going and if we had any questions! AWESOME!!! All the employees were so professional and friendly and were treated like we were the only customers in the showroom. They listened to us regarding price and worked with us to make a deal that we could afford. Furthermore, we will continue to have our SUV serviced at Silko (love the lifetime warranty, by the way). To Raul, Chris, Maria and all the employees at Silko Honda, thank you, thank you, thank you for making our buying experience so pleasant. We will definitely be back!

Terrible experience with service/repair at Silko. They did $1,800 dollars worth of repair work without quoting us on the work. Then they played the "finger pointing" game saying that they told us it would be that much. I discussed the issue with the service manager but they held the car "hostage" until we paid. He didn't even reduce the price a little which would have been the least I would have expected. They seem to treat people better on the sales side but I would avoid the service department.

We all can feel trepidation when buying a car. I have felt it, and have actually had that feeling justified when being fooled by the dreaded "car dealer." I was wary coming into another dealership but had heard good things about Silko. This dealership gets it. They are honest, fair and fast. The lifetime warranty on a used car would have sold me, let alone the fair prices, human sales people and approachable management. One additional key here that separates Silko is how close the owner is to the sales floor. Some of these dealerships are "run" by partners that like to be on TV, but have no idea what is happening in the showroom with their customers. We experienced that recently and were extremely disappointed. At Silko however, all of the management is in full view..not hiding behind the dreaded sales desk door. Even better? The owner himself is right there, aware of (and caring about) every sale and customer. This is a (finally) a dealership I am comfortable with.

First of all, I have never bought from a dealership before, so this was a new experience for me. I've only ever bought from private dealers or small-time used car dealerships. My salesman was Anton Dopson, and he walked me through everything, making sure I understood all of the paperwork. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. I was able to trade in my old car with no hassles, and even took my new one home the same day! The few hours that I spent there were completely pleasant, as everyone was very friendly including the two sales managers, Roger and Rodney. My finance manager/guy was Julio, and he was very careful going over all of the final paperwork and added coverage I may have wanted or needed. I absolutely love my new car; it's a 2012 Honda Civic, and my first time buying a Honda. I know now that it won't be my last time either. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for better service from better people. Every time I have gone back in since, I am treated like family and I know that my new car and I will be taken care of. I purchased a used civic from Silko a few weeks ago. I have never had a positive car-buying experience in the past so I was a little uneasy going into it. I looked on the Silko website before going in to try and get an idea of what I wanted. I called in and spoke to Matt Sherman who was very helpful in answering all of my questions about the different used cars that were available. When I went to the dealership I was greeted by a salesman - Ryan Cordaro who was already up to speed on what I was looking for. That made the process much easier and faster. Ryan was very patient and did not make me feel pressured. I decided on a black 07 civic and met with Shaun Santos for the financing. He was also super nice and helpful. I love my car and I was very impressed with the customer service and overall experience at Silko. Unlike other dealerships I have dealt with in the past, the guys at Silko never made me feel like I was being taken advantage of. I know I bought a dependable car and when I am ready for my next vehicle I will definitely be returning.
