A New Honda Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car is on the Way

For a long time now, #Honda has shown itself to be a leading innovator in the automotive industry when it comes to the production of high-quality vehicles that reduce fuel consumption. Now, it looks like they’re ready to take the next step with the upcoming release of an all-new Honda hydrogen fuel cell model, the #HondaFCV.

Taking its cues from the #HondaFCXClarity fuel-cell model, the Honda FCV will have a spacious cabin with generous seating for up to five passengers and a driving range of over 700 kilometers, or 435 miles, and will have an incredibly fast refueling time of just three minutes, according to Honda. The Honda FCV will sit lower to the ground and provide more space inside than the Toyota Mirai, its most direct hydrogen-powered competition.

Honda says the FCX will run on a 130 kW electric motor, which it will store inside of its lithium ion cells. Additionally, the vehicle can be used as a mobile power station, providing enough electricity for a small home or apartment for up to a full week.

The Honda FCX is set to move into production in March of 2016, though for now it looks like it will only be available to the immediate Japanese market. However, it does appear that versions of this fuel cell model will eventually become available to drivers in Europe in North America.

While we might not yet have a date on the Honda FCV’s American release, there are a number of other exciting fuel-efficient models to chooser from in the new Honda lineup. Check out the 2015 Honda Accord Hybrid (http://www.silkohonda.com/models/2015-honda-accord-hybrid/), for example, which is able to achieve up to an EPA-estimated 50 mpg city and 45 mpg highway.

Honda Reveals the All-New 2016 Honda Civic Coupe

Earlier this year, Honda announced the arrival of a redesigned #HondaCivic sedan and drivers across Raynham and Easton had plenty of positive things to say. Now the automaker has showed off the brand new #2016HondaCivicCoupe at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show and drivers everywhere are in awe of its gorgeous form and impressive capability.

One of the primary differences between the two 2016 Civics (http://www.silkohonda.com/new-vehicles/civic/) is going to be is which engine options the driver is able to choose from. The coupe will offer a base 2.0L i-VTEC four-cylinder engine that puts out 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque. These are increases of 15 hp and 9 lb-ft of torque compared to the last generation Civic and drivers can upgrade to a smaller 1.5L turbo engine that delivers 174 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque when they opt for a higher trim level.

Where the sedan and coupe share common ground is their upgrades to technology. Both models will offer an audio system that is controlled by an Android-based seven-inch touchscreen, and you will be able to equip each model with a navigation system developed by Garmin. You will also benefit from #AppleCarPlay and #AndroidAuto capability, so you can access your favorite smartphone apps right from your vehicle.

In addition to offering the Civic Coupe, plans are also underway to develop additional models that include a five door hatchback and the sportier Si and Type R. Honda to Debut New Standing Concept Cars at Tokyo Motor Show

For #Honda, the vehicles of tomorrow are small, maneuverable, and can get you where you're going to go without taking a step. The #HondaWander line is a new group of Honda concept cars with mobility aids, vehicles designed to help people who find it difficult to walk normally move around in pedestrian spaces more easily. The design and technology of the Wander mobility aids has been created with the characteristic Honda innovation and originality that you've come to expect from this automotive company. 

The Wander Stand car is similar in size to a golf cart, but with the headspace and leg space that lets you stand while you control it if you so wish. It has four covered wheels for perfect stability, and it's just large enough to fit two people easily. Outside, it has a minimalistic look, with a few strategic curves to accommodate the wheels. 

Inside, the Wander Stand features an augmented reality technology system that projects its vital information onto the windscreen. It doesn't even have a steering wheel--in order to be easier to control when you're standing up, it uses a steering system that's similar to an old-fashioned joystick. It also has a system that can play music. In order to keep the Wander Stand simple and easy to use, there aren't any additional features to distract the motorist. 

The Wander Walker is the other vehicle Honda has created for this line. It's a scooter-like vehicle with room for one person, which allows drivers to sit or stand as they go. It's designed for maneuvering among pedestrians in spaces like shopping malls and supermarkets, or even downtown and on the street. While it's more of a classic scooter, it still has some luxury touches such as wood trim and leather-wrapped handles. It also has a navigation screen, which provides a visual display of the route and tells drivers how long it will be until they reach their destination. 

The Honda Wander line will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of October, along with more all-new Honda concept vehicles.

Left skid plate off when got oil change done, never said anything until I crawled under to see why car shook so much on highway. Awful Customer service when trying to buy out the lease. Once you're in the car they don't care anymore. Just bought my new car from Toyota dealership and experience was 100% better. Thanks for being so awful early in my life Honda, I'd much rather spend my money elsewhere.

Dealt with Juan! The hands down best service I have ever had buying a vehicle. There was no pressure, and he truly cared about what I wanted. Never once tried pushing extras on me to make an extra buck off my sale. I am a very very tough critic and I will 100% recommend this dealership and Juan as a sales member to anyone! Thanks again!

Called to bring my car for a recall. Do not provide loaner and only a 2 mile shuttle. Ridiculous!!! So am I supposed to rent a car because Honda doesn't know how to make a car without defects? And because Silko Honda only offers a 2 mile shuttle?

The dealership makes false promises. Total disappointment on every level. we bought a certified used car from Silko Honda. Took them 4 hours to do the paperwork. And then additional 2 hours for registration. ON the Second day the car was dead. wont start. I called them and they asked me to get the car to Them. Thankfully we have AAA and were able to get it to them and they replaced the battery. The offer was free car washes and every other oil change is Free, when we bought certified used car from them . For free car wash they they just sprinkled water on the car and gave it back. My car would be washed better if I drove in rain, For Oil changes the offer is every other oil change is free. I asked during the sales process and I was informed that I could get one oil change any where and the next oil change is Free. I cross checked by asking, "so its not buy one get one free"? They asserted that I could get oil Change done at any place and the next one would be Free. Well When I took the car in for oil change,I was informed, rather rudely that it was buy one get one deal, over charged me for the service and no they would not diagnose the weird noises car was making without a diagnostic fee, When I spoke with the manager about this behavior, the manager defended him and made personal attacks on me!! The manager got angry and talked to me in a way that was not very appropriate ( to say the least, He thought I was stupid) So far I have not needed to use their so called "Power train warranty" but I am sure that would be a total disappointment too.

Sales rep make fake promises. Don't fall into there trap if they offer free interior car wash or services. Moment you give the cheque there tone takes an u turn and you will realize you made a mistake. They will make you run around as no one listens to anyone else. My husband bought a certified Civic from here. The ones sitting on the counter and a guy whose office is just in front of entrance are very unprofessional. They think themselves to be too mighty to answer your simple questions and will make fun of the situation and customers behind their backs.

Terrible experience with service/repair at Silko. They did $1,800 dollars worth of repair work without quoting us on the work. Then they played the "finger pointing" game saying that they told us it would be that much. I discussed the issue with the service manager but they held the car "hostage" until we paid. He didn't even reduce the price a little which would have been the least I would have expected. They seem to treat people better on the sales side but I would avoid the service department.

We just leased our third Honda Pilot, Silko called us with a great opportunity to convert our 2012 lease to a new 2014. The process was super quick and simple, we love driving the new vehicle. We had a brief meeting on Tuesday night and picked up the new vehicle on Wednesday, does not get much quicker than that. They listen to our request and delivered the car we requested with the correct: color, trim level, and most importantly price. Silko has been our go to dealer for years now. We are a three Honda family and have not driven anything else in the last 15 years.
