When I graduated in Chicago 25 years ago, manufacturing was not the most attractive industry. I was told by many of my classmates at the business school, “You should go to Wall Street”, because there wasn’t much hope in a manufacturing resurgence in the United States. Luckily, this has changed, not just for the United States, but for the world.
