Shula's has an already solid reputation as a top-shelf dining experience in TLH (and across the other links in this famed chain). This review, therefore, isolates the lunch experience. Wife and I came admittedly dressed unlike the other tables (we were at Gold's for an hour and a half...) so we weren't looking the part of "Titans of industry" that some of the other tables were affecting. Rather, we were just coming for lunch - as though it were Jim & Milt's (see review). Wife ordered a Capresse salad and I, the Asian salad w seared tuna. Service is good. Maitre d' sat us in a both on the north wall. Waiter was prompt and courteous. At the entrance, the coordinator was cheerful and polite. Smooth F&B operation throughout. Music was just right and there was no unnecessary service staff hovering. An overall very pleasant lunch experience. We'll return (sans gym clothes!)

I had my first dining experience last night (4/25/16) at Shula's 347 and I must admit, it was above and beyond what I expected!! As we entered the restaurant we were greeted with a smile by the Head Coach Arthur who graciously welcomed us and introduced us to our hostess, Lisa who was equally pleasant. When we were seated, Lisa presented us with our menus and went over the wine list. I mentioned to her that I did not drink, so I had no use for that menu, lol. Within minutes our waiter Sam came over and introduced himself and welcomed us as well. He started off by saying "I hear this is your first dining experience at Shula's and you (referring to me) don't drink wine." That statement alone, signified that the staff has great communication with one another. He then proceeded to go over the menu. We were overly impressed with his knowledge of the menu items, ingredients and preparation of the food. When asked a question about something on the menu, he didn't hesitate, he had a quick response and he maintained direct eye contact with whom he was speaking to. Our food came out in a timely manner. Jeremiah was our server, he too was awesome!! I ordered the crab cakes and my sister ordered the mushroom ravioli. Both were seasoned to perfection, HATS OFF TO THE CHEF!! To sum it up, EVERYONE was very professional, courteous and attentive. I would definitely recommend Shula's 347 as a "Go To" for an A+ wining and dining experience.

40th Anniversary dinner. A little quirky from the start. Receptionist adjusted our numbers but her comments were not well received. Christian did a great job explaining the menu and specials. But he could do nothing to shield the disasters for our steaks. They were just terrible. Hands down. So after $300+ in food they gave several desserts to appease me and my guests. I'm sure that I could have ordered a better cut, but listen,I thought this was a top of the line steak house. Ours were overcooked, dry, and salty. The meal looked warmed over annnmmjnnmjjibd ooooerly preparwd and staged. My entire meal was just awful. Next time I will choose Hardee's. This restaurant wasnt worth the time, effort, or money. This Shula's is rated #1 within their company for food, service and revenue! All was great from the moment I walked in. Great Sweet Chili Shrimp. Great center cut filet with delicious seasonal veggies and Parmesan risotto.

Best meal I've had in tallahassee by far. Service was impeccable. Jennyfer was very knowledgeable of the menu. Professional and accommodating. Food was absolutely wonderful. Filets were perfect. Mash pots. Might be btr. then mine. And the collard greens were mouth watering. Key lime pie was Sourly delicious. Which was exactly how my lady likes it .

Shula's 347 (or just "Shula's" as the locals call it) has a lovely atmosphere and superb service. The colors are dark neutrals with soft lighting and an entrancing wine bottle light fixture/art installation overhead. The food is delicious, although I've only ever had steak here. Last visit, my filet was perfectly cooked medium and nearly melt-in-the-mouth tender. The smashed potatoes are garlicky and delicious as well. Warning: The small tables are very close together (much like in a "big city" restaurant) and it's a rather noisy restaurant. The hard surfaces, small size, and close seating make for fairly loud crowd noise on a busy night. The small bar is adorable and with two bartenders for about eight stools and 3 high tops, the service was still spot-on. There is an interesting cocktail list and a pretty good wine list. This is a good place for a date, but don't expect to be able to canoodle quietly. There are no booths and it can be hard to hear. I also expect that reservations would be helpful, especially if you have a party bigger than four.

The ONLY reason this isn't five stars (and I wanted to give 4.5!) is because of the crowd noise and proximity of other tables. At Shula's price points, the patrons have earned a bit of privacy and intimacy. Shula's really doesn't have much competition in Tallahassee, and I struggle to even think about another comparable high-end steak house. The Good: Probably the best strip steak in town, and it will be cooked exactly how you like it. They generally have a good selection of cuts, and I believe I even had a bone-in strip steak, or perhaps "cowboy ribeye" that was insane (don't remember...but it had a bone, it was gigantic, and I see it in my dreams). The Bad: I can't afford to eat there often. The Ugly: Your credit card statement at the end of the month. As I read the reviews, I see where Shula's management responded to a patron who was less than satisfied with their experience. As a customer, that makes me feel like they are connected and dedicated to improving their service. Great food, killer service, and a fun dining experience...even if it is every once in a while. As a side note, I'm going to Shula's this weekend and can't wait to dive into the menu! Maybe there's even a coupon flying around! :-)

From the time we checked in until we departed the hostess, server, and staff was very professional, attentive, polite, and courteous and made us treated us like we were royalty. Thanks for making my daughter's 18th birthday a "special" one.
