I love my stuff. I know it’s not cool to admit that anymore, but here I am. My name is Sarah, and I love my stuff. Loving our stuff has gone a bit off popularity these days. We’re supposed to be modern minimalists with clean lines. We’re supposed to try experiments, like only having 100 thing

Does anyone have thoughts on the Korken jars sold at Ikea? I'm guessing they're just air tight containers for keeping preserved goods in the fridge the same way you would if they were not canned? How would they work out for pickling?

I honestly don't know if they are designed for canning or not. It really depends a lot on whether the glass is tempered to be safe for the boiling water bath process.

This teal fabric was originally going to be a circle dress, but I passed it up for the pink and orange. I second-guessed my decision until the idea for this dress came along. However, the plain tea...

I love the "Waldorf home that supplements with public school" idea. Personally I've always known my kids would go to public school, but I've also known that a lot of the educating happens in the home. It's partly why some kids do so much better than others in the same classroom (apart from learning styles and a million other factors). It's why cities and nonprofits invest heavily in after school programs. The classroom supplements and inspires learning, but kids should have time on their own to learn in more depth, breadth, the things they're curious about. They should have chances to think critically, make tough decisions, and do all sorts of learning outside the classroom.

It's why I love being at home at this stage in my 2 year olds life, and I think it only gets more fun from here!
I love to talk shop with some of my favorite people. I'm a big fan of simple living, but it's not just about getting rid of your stuff—it's about living holistically with your life's purpose. On the show, I talk with other people about what that looks like for them.

Do people really do this? Seems insanely dangerous to me....
Nothing puts a damper on a road trip like having to stop the car, pop the hood, and check the engineunless of course you're just checking to see if your pork tenderloin is done. Engine-block cooking is a tradition going back almost as l...

I had no idea people put these things together and they can taste good. I can't stomach the thought of trying it out...if you can, let me try just one spoonful?

I don't even have an iPhone, but I have to say, if I did, I would seriously consider getting one of these. Wow.
