Great write up about what is happening at Uber. From the article, "The fiasco at Uber is a product of the same phenomenon we're seeing in the Trump West Wing: Corporate cultures, whether healthy or sick, flow from the top" http://bit.ly/2sXp29W

Social media evidence is a treasure trove of inconsistencies, admissions, and downright inconvenient facts that can't be ignored by attorneys or their clients.

When it comes to lawsuits, social media is often a goldmine for inconsistencies or even outright lies. For example, President Trump was interviewed by Lester Holt of NBC where Mr. Trump said he alone had made the decision to fire Mr. Comey. Mr. Trump further confirmed he reached his decision irrespective of any other recommendations. Yet, Mr. Trump recently made statements in a tweet that is inconsistent with those statements to Mr. Holt. Such inconsistencies are problematic when it comes to litigation. Whether that holds true in the political arena remains to be seen.

Actions speak louder than words. http://politi.co/2sfbiXX

The U.S. jobs report came out on Friday. The number of jobs created was significantly below expectation (184,000 was the expected increase, but only 138,000 jobs were created). However, the unemployment rate hit a 16 year low (4.3%). But this low hides a growing issue for many employees - wages. And this article from the NY Times highlights a major problem for employees, the fluctuating work schedule. One example, an employee making $10 per hour has a fluctuating schedule that sees her getting 15 hours per week up to 39. In another instance a family income ranged from $5,279 per month down to $1,175 per month.
