This is the first Thanksgiving that I've spent in the USA in many years, a quiet day with my spouse in our little Boston townhouse. Since we're usually abroad this time of year, and have no space to host our families, we're heading out to my sister-in-law's house for Thanksgiving dinner with her and her kids.
I'm thankful for so much - too much to list. I'm thankful for my spouse, who has shown me unconditional love and devotion for twelve amazing years. For my continued good health which pays dividends every day. For my work in software engineering that allows me a rather comfortable lifestyle when so many other people are not as fortunate.
I'm thankful that my employer truly values work-life balance as more than a blurb from Human Resources. I work with people I genuinely like even though I only understand about 5% of what they say.
I'm thankful for my friends, both in real life and here on the internet, who continue to inform me, challenge me, and stretch my awareness so that it can accommodate a very large and diverse world.
