$600,000.00 saving!

During this inspection, I probably saved our client from a $600,000.00 plus bottomless money pit!

The Realtor involved described the foundation as 'concrete' in the listing, after we excavated 600 mm down on every elevation, we discovered the foundation to be wood treated - not only wood treated - but a rotten one at that!

Don't believe everything you read on the listing, Satisfy yourself as to the facts.

When it comes to Home Inspection, Hire independently!

Yet another member of the public pays the price for an ill-educated & incompetent Home Inspector

Sadly, there will be many more innocent members of the public placed in this position due to incompetent & clueless inspectors, and not forgetting the Realtor's Poodle of course! This being the inspector who solely works for Realtors to get him/her a sale regardless of the implications - he/she then gets more inspections.

Hire independently, do your homework on the inspector you're about to hire, it's the only way.

There's one company in Calgary who claim to have a 'team' on board, one of the inspectors is actually a full time police officer who 'helps' out when things get busy. 99% of the reviews for this company written by Realtors, all opened their accounts the same day, all written and reviewed within 10 to 20 minutes of each other - a sort of 'review' party was had by all. You can draw your own conclusions from that little scenario!

Take the time to read some of the comments posted on this article, is it any wonder 'Home Inspection' has a tarnished reputation - unfortunately even the educated Inspectors too!

How many more innocent people have to pay the price before the Government 'grows a pair' and steps in?!
