I cannot even begin to describe how excited my three year old was to see the way his watercolor paints changed color on construction paper.

I enjoyed watching his little face as he carefully planned each stroke of the brush. Moments like these are memories to cherish.

What kinds of paper or materials do your little ones enjoy painting on with watercolors? We need some ideas.

My three year old has discovered the beautiful world beneath the surface of the water. He can now play big boy underwater #games with his brothers because, as long as he can touch the bottom, he no longer uses water wings or flotation devices of any kind. #summerfun #pool #discovery
As I stepped closer to the side of my brother's pool, after being summoned by Little T, I am in awe at this three year old's new skill. My youngest and last son has mastered the skill of holding hi...

Summer fun with water can be free when reusing items that would normally be trashed.

Little T had a blast on this homemade slip-n-slide with kiddie pool!
Upon discovering the pool cover received damage from the falling pine cones, I decided to make use of it in another fun way. A slip-n-slide was the first thought that came to mind. The boys would b...

Teach children the value of their own me time using this fun and funny book.

In this review, I share what makes these cute and creepy residents of the ZombieZoo each so unique.
I am most like the zombie rabbit, Rob.
Do you know how sometimes you just need to have a little time to yourself? In Where’s Boo?: A ZombieZoo Story, the ZombieZoo animals go on a search for Boo, the black zombie cat, when they notice h...

I have been MIA for a while because I decided to return to learning. I am working hard online to attain my associate degree in computer science. I have not been a student for sixteen years and find myself thoroughly enjoying the learning process.

I will continue writing on my blog, Three Boys=Blessed, once I have caught up on my classes (because of a late start I have work doubled for two weeks in a row). I have a lot to share about myself and my sons and look forward to sharing all we have been through.
There is always that moment when you are alone with the prejudice: the joke, the leer, the disregard, the fact that the moment you walk through the door you are seen as lesser.

This lovely #WW   artwork was created by my three year old son. I was in complete shock as he carefully collected each item from #nature  and placed them down with glue in intense thought.

The shock is because he has been my only difficult child. He almost never listens to anyone and just has the meanest attitude I have ever seen in a child. He knows of no one who acts in such a way, either.

Having Little T create something as beautiful as this picture is a great blessing to me and gives me hope.

How do you find quiet time for a child who is never quiet (or still)?

I am a little late on sharing my mostly #WordlessWednesday post with you all. I hope you enjoy this little way I have found to meditate even with kids nearby and running about.

I would love to know what ways you have found to meditate or pray when surrounded by little active children.
One thing I love about being a mother is having chalk on hand. I decided to color this concrete yard decoration using the kids' sidewalk chalk since I also needed a little quiet time for talking wi...

I feel, at times, as though I am alone in my desire to show the love of Christ through me by not judging those whose beliefs differ from my own. To me, all are worthy of seeing His love by witnessing my love for each and every life.

Having an overactive and clumsy child means more than the average number of accidents. Thankfully, my Little T is one tough cookie.

Do you have a child, like mine, that is accident prone?
Little T is a very tough three year old boy. He is also my clumsiest child. Little T has proven himself to be my most active and daring son. He is constantly running everywhere and jumping off of a...

Zombie Fiction and Books  -

Here is a great children's book that helps to teach the value of alone time. The best thing about it is that it features zombie animals!

All of my 3 sons (ages 10, 6 and 3) love the residents of the ZombieZoo!

Use discount code shelley10 for 10% off to order a copy of your own as well as any of the 5 mini plush clip-on residents or one of the prints.
