A little appreciation

These were taken at my daughter's track meet today (where she kicked ass) and when editing, it occurred to me that I'm actually starting to like Lightroom.  It's difficult because I love Aperture so much because of its versatility.

Instead, I imported directly to Lightroom and began playing with some templates I've purchased and a few free ones.  A few months back I bought a pack from +Trey Ratcliff with some really great things. I shared a few photos and he even gave me a few words of encouragement that really boosted my desire to eventually learn.

With these photos most were originally Trey's presets with some required edits. Needless to say that I'm starting to feel more confident in my abilities.  Maybe I'll be able to make my own presets soon that will be just as effective for me as Trey's.

So the appreciation goes out to those that believe "human knowledge belongs to the world." Thanks for your help and because of your contributions I will be able to contribute.

Your Message isn't that special if they have to inquire.

You've got to pay attention to your message and who is viewing it.  You can't just throw something out there without method to your madness. Don't feel like you've got gold just because you've got a few hits. Focus. Pay Attention. And pay someone else to do it if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Always enjoy the little things
We take so much for granted. I'm sitting at main street coffee and just watched a two year old walk by with his mother. He stopped to stand perfectly on every water meter on the side walk. Why? Because why the hell not? What's wrong with a little circular perfection in our day?

I don't know yet. I think this could be a great thing to help small businesses and nonprofits get into a space that might be really expensive and time consuming otherwise.

Maybe #Meerkat  and #Periscope are the greatest things ever, and it's going to be the end of live events as we know them.

Daniel and his team are awesome. If you need anything staffed, he's got the crew for you. Keep costs low and insurance worries to zero. Always recommend ISP!

Maybe you should consider hiring people with actual people skills. I realize that group mentality is a real thing, one douchebag breads many. Time to start fresh and hire a PR firm. Quickly. I'm available but only with a new staff.

The only place during my whole trip I never checked the reviews on. The price online was 160 for 4 days. I get there and they want another 300. Plus a massive deposit because I used a debit card. THEN they tell me my credit score wasn't high enough to rent the damn car I had a reservation for?! Thankfully managers can do an override on that. The Nissan Sentra was great. 8k miles. Drove like a drenched and very clean. Drove all 4 days on one tank. Car was great, company sucks. Two stars is for the car.

Main Street Coffee is one of my favorite places to meet with clients. A wide variety of drinks and some good breakfast if I happened to skip. Try the caramel green apple smoothy. By far my favorite but if you are not a smoothy person you might try the iced English toffee coffee with whipped cream.

The staff are very friendly and always in a good mood. If Aubry is around he'll come over and chat with you and make sure you're taken care of. Love coming here even when there aren't awesome live bands playing!

Cons: It would be nice to see the staff taking a proactive role in dealing with people that interupt movies for others but that's just a fantasy. Dislike the LED light strips all over the theater. Sometimes they can be distracting or shine in your eyes during an entire movie. There have been a few power outages while I've been there but it's Ardmore and we expect things like that. Staff have always given rain-checks. While watching Wreck-It Ralph the screen split in two and lost color on half. They did remind it and I'm pretty sure they still offered rain-checks because of the problem. Ticket and concession prices keep going up... Still must sneak in snacks. Pros Comfortable seating. Mostly friendly staff. Newer people are a lot less friendly for some reason. Sound and movie resolution are great. Insulation is pretty good. Don't think I've ever heard a movie playing in the next room over. In the same area and some good food and decent shopping within walking distance.
