I've decided to stop caring who I work for and start caring what I work on. This is the type of thing I really need to shift my career toward. Big impact, real, and fast moving. I'm bored refining stupid crap, I want to do something *shiny*.
Amazon and the FAA say product deliveries via drones could begin much sooner than anyone ever expected.

I'm giving serious thought to this as a hobby project for the fall. I used to build toy robots for fun. This could be a way to do that again.

A fascinating set of studies that show adipocyte cells (fluffy fat) causes muscles to atrophy and produces hormone imbalances. This confirms my own suspicion that I simply had to do "whatever it takes" to lose the fat first before pursuing other health goals. Working on stronglifts.com/5x5 with a very low carb diet I lost 70+ pounds in six months. I still consider the experience an extreme measure. I couldn't eat any "normal" foods while doing this.

I am aiming for another 20 pounds of fat loss before I begin experimenting with programs again. My tentative long-term goal is to get a resting heart rate in the 50's which I think will indicate a high level of cardiovascular conditioning. I will be researching on this topic next.

EDIT:
I eat a high cholesterol diet to attempt to induce natural testosterone production to facilitate weight loss and muscle growth. I'll be having my blood tested as I attempt to address cardiovascular health next. I considered this extreme because I potentially jeopardized heart health temporarily with higher cholesterol. I may find my particular metabolism handled the high cholesterol diet just fine without increasing serum cholesterol. It's an N=1 study.

I am very very very excited at this prospect. I used to etch boards for my hobby projects back in the late 80's. This looks much more fun and much faster. I could crank out raspberry pi prototypes pretty quick with this. I totally need this.

Idempotent, Orthogonal, Immutable
19 Mar 2009. Five Dollar Programming Words. I've been a longtime fan of Eric Lippert's blog. And one of my favorite (albeit short-lived) post series was his Five Dollar Words for Programmers.
