A fascinating history lesson on institutional racism in technology. It's something to be aware of.

Very instructive. I may vary my training intensity based on this.

A few months ago I figured out that I was using my body fat monitor wrong. I've learned how to get the highest possible body fat reading from it consistently.

This kind of monitor is only useful for watching trend lines. If a multi-month trend is over all "down" that's a good sign. I might be doing things right. It's also a good sign of just how long it may take to actually achieve my goals.

If I keep on going this way for another 3 years I might achieve the final goal I'm after that 10 to 12 % body fat range.

Ostensibly, about the objectification of women but also a comic look at how and why some media is designed to ruin your mind in pursuit of a quick buck. There are many traps out there in the world today that will screw with your psyche and generally make your life miserable for no good reason.

There is no such thing as high glycemic and low glycemic index foods. New Israeli research, led by Dr Eran Segal and Dr Eran Elinav, suggests that gut microbes may control more of how food interacts with your body than anyone ever imagined before.
Foods that make some of us put on weight can have little effect on others, according to research.

The eighth-grader used Lego to create a low-cost Braille printer that he designed over long evenings at his family’s kitchen table in Santa Clara, an hour south of San Francisco. The idea is to print Braille reading materials from a personal computer or electronic device on to paper using raised dots instead of ink.
Shubham Banerjee created a low-cost Braille printer with a toy. Now, the 13-year-old’s startup is attracting investors and shaking up an industry to help the visually impaired
