This is really quite interesting and matches with some of what I read in "I am a Strange Loop"

An interesting read. #dontmiss
To reject gods and spirits is easy: just bully them away in the name of science. But to accept them, or at least our experiences of them, and yet give them a scientific explanation: there's a task worthy of our art. It demands that we look them in the eye and take them seriously, while standing ...

At one point in my career I actually wrote software to help with the Visa process and assist these kinds of screenings. Many of these forms are repetitious so software can often assist in completing them and assist in keeping small mistakes that lead to erroneous rejections or acceptances from happening. There are people that try to game these systems so its a matter of making sure you are accurate and correct at every stage. If anyone's looking to write some free & open source software to help the US with properly processing this kind of information, let me know.

Every so often my windows computers ask me to retype my product keys into them. I think they sense that things aren't quite right... it's not them that isn't real, it's the world they live in... a fake simulation of a real computer running real software.

This is fascinating... I'm digging that she has data that can be corroborated or debunked... I wonder if we're asking the wrong questions.
There is a big difference between a Wage Gap and an Earnings Gap. This has been purposely distorted in Media. If you say that China has greater earnings than Iceland, people will instantly know you are distorting something that is obvious. People in Iceland have a higher earning than those in China, but China has more people. The same is true of the supposed earnings gap in the US. The truth is many women choose not to participate in the work for...
