Meet the Products
Today we’re introducing you to our AdWords API!First of all, what is AdWords?
Advertisers use Google AdWords to show display ads on Google properties (google.com
, Gmail, YouTube) as well as a multitude of other websites that are part of Google’s Display Network. Advertisers upload their ads and an associated list of keywords. Google can also suggest keywords based on the content of the ad. When a Google user searches for one or more of those keywords, that ad becomes a candidate for insertion in the search results page. If you’ve ever searched for [pizza] on Google and seen an ad for your favorite pizza restaurant at the top of the results, then you’ve seen an AdWords ad.
AdWords ads also appear on websites that are part of the Google Display Network. These websites include Google properties such as YouTube and Google Finance, as well as websites belonging to publishers using Doubleclick Ad Exchange or AdSense. For more info on where AdWords display ads may appear, see the AdWords help documentation. What makes AdWords unique?
