Shocking stuff. I was aware of the iron harvest and have visited the battlefield of France and Belgium a few times over the years but haven't heard about the red zone before.
When you imagine France and its scenic countryside, you might think of the picturesque villages, vineyards a plenty and endless rolling green hills to dri

Full disclosure, I do work for Webroot.
The purpose of threat intelligence, says Webroot's CMO, is to immediately block cyberthreats through your network and endpoints, and to predict where attacks originate.

I've been getting into Medium more over the past couple of months and am considering writing a few things to put on there myself.

Anyone else use it? got any tips?

I think if there is a successful move to more interaction it needs to be careful, as with all things it's only a matter of time before the trolls move in and remind us that our vision of mature and engaging interaction is utopian fallacy.

This is great if it's just me in my hipster minimalist apartment (actually I do like the design aspect of this) but this is going to suck when I have a group of people over in the same way my nespresso does now as I spend 40 minutes frothing and pouring coffee for everyone. If the machines weren't so expensive I'd simply buy a couple for when friends come over and let them have at it themselves ;0)

While I am not at all surprised given the affordability and great build quality behind the latest batch of Chromebooks, folks better get a move on with the android apps on Chromebooks because Microsoft look set to beat everyone to the punch there.

I'm nearing the end of a 30 day challenge to use a Chromebook as my daily driver and the only thing I struggled with was the restriction on not having access to Skype for Business and a decent Outlook app for my company email and IM both available on Android and generally portable to Chrome with a few tweaks.
Manufacturers have been releasing a slew of new Chromebooks throughout these past few months, and it looks like it's paying off. According to technology research firm Gartner, a total of 5.728 million Chromebooks were shipped in the year 2014, with 4.820 million units being sold in North America. 72% of those units were sold to the education market alone. In fact, at the rate Chromebooks are currently selling, the report states that worldwide sal...

Short but interesting interview. There are interesting thoughts about Moores law and computing today which made me think about the Chromebook phenomenon.

His thoughts about programming are spot on.

"The nice thing about computer programming is you have this venue in which you have power. You have agency. You have the ability to take charge, be in control, and build the thing you want to build."

Interesting look inside the trials of 500PX I'm still torn between 500PX and Flickr. I like the 500PX service for being easy to sell images, but I'm pissed that they changed that model from buying images in print to being a stock photography service. I'm not convinced I like this. The portfolios are good though.

Flickr just confuses me these days and I haven't uploaded anything there for years now.

I think what I'm looking for still doesn't exist.
Started in the early 2000s as a community on the LiveJournal blogging platform, 500px has become one of the most popular places in the internet to store professional and amateur photos, ...
