#smallbusinessseo Do you SEO for any restaurants? Between the lack of small business SEO and the Google's frequent changes in the SERP structure, researching and finding restaurants through search is inefficient and frustrating. Google shows very few dedicated sites in favor of dumping you on Yelp etc. and Bing both dumps you on review sites and returns irrelevant results in too distant markets. If I wanted to go to Yelp I'd go there directly. I want a SERP of restaurant web pages, where I can take my time and judge for myself on what they are offering based on menus and photos, but this is not happening at the moment. Bing does somewhat better in large markets with their carousel, a feature Google has recently dropped in favor of an unattractive little box of three, again, mostly dropping you on review sites. With so many businesses not doing SEO or even having web sites, is the problem because they don't, or because the search engines make it impossible to have an search effective site? Is SERP structure dis-incentivizing small businesses from taking action?
