...looks like there's always that brave option, that literal lifeline:
In every great crisis – let it bring out the greatness of Christ in you.
Real prayer always has eyes on Christ, not the crisis.
Letting the eyes here just set on the beauty of Him today,
settles a lot of things deep inside.

yeah, if God didn't withhold His Son from you--- He won't withhold His Love from you.
Hold on with some real soul-talk:
"I will hush away the hurry, the worry today.
We can always have
as much of God as we want.
God throws open the door of this world -
and enters as a baby.
As the most vulnerable imaginable.
Because He wants unimaginable intimacy with me.
God. With. Me.
God can't stay away.
He disarms Himself of heaven
so that I can take Him in arms on earth.
Christmas is about God's doing
whatever it takes to be with me -
and my doing
whatever it takes to be with Him."
If He already gave you what was His best, He'll always give you what you need. So boldly, deeply rest. God's got you.

yeah, I know how it feels but really -- what's your mountain to a mountain-moving God? Whatever mountain that every Christian ever faces, the Lord levels with sufficient grace: The Lord Will Provide. This is the thing: God's constant vision is your constant provision.
"When I feel worry today, this season, I will simply exhale.
Worry is belief gone wrong.
Because you don't believe that God will get it right.
And Peace is belief that exhales.
Because you believe that God's provision is everywhere -
like air."

#exhale: "All fear is the lie that God’s love ends.
Untie that lie.
Untie that lie that strangles you by circling your life with Truth: Give Thanks to The Lord, His Love Endures –
His Love Endures — without expiry date, without end — Forever."

...today, make this where we are: Hidden only in You. When we are hidden in You, we can be fully transparent, fully seen, fully loved. Whisper it now:
"I will simply become a place for God today.
There is no need to
produce or perform or perfect -
simply become a place for God.
Christmas is conceived in my world
when I simply receive it -
however Christ and His will come to me.
This miscarriage of Christmas begins
when anxieties crowd out the space
within simply to carry Christ."
Simply, this week, moment by moment: Hidden in You, Keeping With You. Simply: Present to Your Presence.

yeah, I know it all seems hard & impossible. In these moments when we realize our limitations, our shortcomings, and all that we aren't, we're given the gift of the gracious hand of our unlimited God. Let's whisper this gentle hope today:
"I will give God the give of repentance today.
Repentance, turning around,
is the only way for me to be ushered into grace.
I am not equipped for my life
until I realize I'm not equipped for life.
I'm not equipped for life until I'm in need of grace.
I always get the greatest gift
when I turn around and go His way,
right toward the smiling ways of God."
He never stops coming for you...

Hey Soul? Go slow enough today to be moved with compassion: "When [Jesus] saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion." Mt9:36
Criticism can be knee-jerk & quick & jump to conclusions.
Compassion is heartfelt & slow & lingers to really listen.
Criticism kills community. Compassion creates community.
Criticism can be a care-less reaction.
Compassion is a care-full response.
Criticism makes you more like a judge.
Compassion makes you more like Jesus.
Today -- only move with compassion. #PreachingGospeltoMyself #faith #Jesus

Thank you, Jesus!

Hey Soul? Yeah, this is a hurting world today. Think of the hospitals. Look at the headlines. And we could keep looking at the headlines, as if they had answers or explanations -- or we could look to Him who is the answer, who offers us more than some high-fluting explanation, who offers us an experience of Himself, because He knows explanations can be cold & His arms are warm. His arms are warm.
“When you call on Me, when you come & pray to Me, I’ll listen... I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady" Jer29:12,Isa41:10MSG
No matter what happens in this busted-up world today or this weekend, in your own beautiful world: Pray. He listens & He holds.
Today's best exchange rate: in prayer you gain God,
and you lose fear, anger, anxiety and insecurity. #PreachingGospeltoMyself #faith   #God   #prayer

Introduction
My life really didn't begin to become vibrant until I married my husband, had our first son, and rediscovered Christ.  It only got better after that (with some bumps in the road).  Second son born, moving thousands of miles across the U.S. to the desert.  Living in a literal desert and finding the Lord and accepting Him into my heart.  Facing the most challenging and heartbreaking event in my life...the sudden death of our oldest precious son, Ethan Joshua. Finding the new normal while trying to be Holy Spirit lead.  Thankful for my faithful and loving husband, for my precious son who literally makes me laugh everyday and brings joy I could never imagine.  Oh, and I'm a mommy to a vizsla named Peter Abraham, a.k.a Peaty.  He's a dog, by the the way!

We have been going to Dr. Austin (my son and I) since he opened his private practice a few years ago. Dr. Austin is professional and knows his profession well. He is gentle and patient. His hygienists are fabulous and very sweet and patient with my son who was reluctant to get his teeth x-rayed and cleaned. The office is super clean! We are treated like family when we go every six months for our cleanings! We are staying with Dr. Austin! Update: 11 Aug 2014 Today my son and I went in for our routine cleanings. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, and our appointments started right on time. My son did the very best he's ever done! Colleen is super, duper sweet and very good with children. :) Dr. Austin is very blessed to have her as a part of his staff! As usual, Dr. Austin listened to my concerns and was willing to share his knowledge with me. Thank you Team Austin!!! Update: 24 Nov 14 Today I needed a couple of fillings, and my son needed sealants. My son was very apprehensive about having to keep his mouth open for extended periods of time. Dr. Austin and his assistant were very kind and caring, making sure to do what was best for my son, even though it made it more challenging to get the dental work done. Thank you again so very much!!! Your team is truly a blessing!
