Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad said that the timing is right for a gas tax hike while legislators consider transportation infrastructure funding options.

We've been in this war on terror for what, 13+ years? And we have yet to properly define the enemy? If we aren't at war to defeat a foe, what is the real reason to continue these military operations? In just war theory, is there a time when a just cause ceases to be just?

Introduction
Shane Vander Hart is the founder and President of 4:15 Communications, a social media and communications consulting and management firm specializing in social media account creation, social media strategy audits, blog creation and management, social media account management, online written content for websites, blog content, public relations, and press release distribution.

Shane has 20 years of working in non-profit organizations, and ten years of experience with public relations, community networking, social media marketing, and blogging. He is also an experienced public speaker and trainer. In 2006 he launched Caffeinated Thoughts, a popular Christian conservative online news site that provides news and commentary on culture, current events, faith and politics.

Shane is a native of Des Moines, IA. He has worked in Florida, Ohio, and Indiana before moving back to Des Moines, Iowa. Shane has been married for 19 years and has three teenage children. 

Shane was recently recognized by Campaigns & Elections Magazine as one of the top political influencers in Iowa.
