Taking it out is just CRAP! I don't CARE about "communities" or "Collections!" I LIKED Circles and I enjoyed the variety that having people organized brought into the stream. It is almost impossible to manage those circles in the new G+ and you have destroyed a main feature of the application for me. Restricting the side panel to SIX circles - come on! And, where is the link at the top for the Circles? WTF! The are the whole foundation of G+!!!
And, what happened to all the photo features????
Shortly, I received an email from the manager advising that the site was most likely having issues due to Star Wars ticket sales. I facepalmed. DUH! By the time I could log in to purchase tickets (an hour later) they were all sold out (unless you wanted to sit in the front row).
The manager sent me an email the NEXT day advising that they were going to put the tickets for the rest of the week up for sale on their site! I logged in - and, the email was received before the tickets were even online! A refresh and BAM! The whole next week was up!
I conferred with my older son... By the time I got back online an hour later half the 7pm showing was sold out! I was able to get four tickets all together on the same row!
Thanks for the manager for sending me that email!!
- doing it RIGHT!
I, normally, am one of the people who will sit back and look at changes and wait for an adjustment period before I "complain" or start providing negative commentary....
But, this is the crappiest change I have seen to a good piece of software in a VERY long time. In my mind it is almost as bad as the introduction of "NEW COKE."
So many features are gone that I used on a daily basis that I would have to spend most of a few hours just writing them all down to type into feedback posts!
On top of that disappointment - the whole level up and equipment system was just.... meh.
What was done right - the visuals - this game TRULY feels like the Star Wars I always imagined...
But, very sadly, it isn't worth $60.00. I played for about 3 hrs today just exploring different modes/maps. And, I closed it down feeling that I don't need to open the game up again....
Personally I think it's a well crafted game. Very well thought out and designed. And all that good stuff. Also let's face it the Star Wars part is a plus.
On the downside though I find it kind of dull and unimaginative. More like what you get when you distill something down to it's purest form. It's optimal but not passionate.
That said, while I don't think it was worth the $66 and change I paid for the deluxe, it does provide fun. And I really like Star Wars.
Netflix have released another trailer for their soon to be released series Jessica Jones based on the Marvel Comics character.
If you were in any doubt about the nature of the character and the sort of show we're getting, I think this should clear it up...
