Sure, this might be true if you have been living under a rock since 2004, but last I checked, the vast majority of Linux distros default to presenting the user with a GUI. The CLI is still the most powerful interface, but that's true of almost any OS, OS X and Windows included. The difference with Linux is that it's "up-front" about recommending the CLI as something that isn't to be feared, whereas the others would prefer you didn't even know it existed.
