Allen: It's powerful to be at eye-level with people and to see the world from their perspective.

It definitely was a conscious choice for most of the shooting and I think it makes a huge difference in the film. If you're filming from above them looking down at them, it does give you a different perception and that’s how we tend to see people with disabilities in our mainstream society. We really wanted to take that and flip it and make sure people were able to connect with our characters on a one-to-one basis and realize that this is a human. These people have families and they're our friends and they are real people. That perspective was really important to our storyline.

My calm when life gets overwhelming. The SINGLE thing that kept me sane during our original editing process of The Rebound.

If you haven't tried FlyDog Yoga yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's been one of my favorite things about moving back to Charlottesville.

ALSO, super pumped to be creating a brand film for FlyDog that will be out soon!

For a while, I've wanted to get to know our couples better, discover unique things about them that we can incorporate into their wedding films and stories.

From our documentary filmmaking experience, we know that the best moments often occur when you let life play out naturally in front of the camera.

Wedding days are overflowing with emotions - but relationships are mostly grown outside of the spotlight of 50-200 of your closest friends and family. Those casual nights alone, sipping drinks in the kitchen, preparing dinner while discussing the day.

Those foundational moments are not always captured on camera, but they are when real magic happens.

On their second date, Colin set up a spread of sushi-ready ingredients so that they could create their dinner, together - for the first time.

26 times later, he and Martiza are ready to get married, surrounded by song, dance and their closest family and friends.
