Oh Russians, how we live with the stereotypical image of them drinking more vodka than water in a boisterous fashion and them as individuals who are insanely rude. Of course when I paid a visit to Buyan I was half expecting it to be a rather rowdy dinner but was I pleasantly surprised. Buyan ...

Coffee is our very own drug. The more we take, the more we are discerning of its taste and quality. We want it good. We want it fast. We want fragrant strong coffee but we can’t queue 20 minutes at our nearest coffee shop all the time. If only there was a union of both convenience and taste without compromising either. After much research ...

Contemporary, Cantonese fine-dining over at Marina Square. If you haven't been over to the Marina Square Shopping Center lately, you should give it a go because new restaurants seem to be popping up inside there every week. At our latest venture to the new food wing, we checked out Kai Garden for some fine Cantonese dining. Kai Garden is ...

Customizable milkshakes, first and only in Singapore. Good taste and fun too! There's yoghurt as well as ice cream so take your pick of healthiness or decadence.

The 'Indie' French place to visit. Very good no frills French, the menu is pretty simple- appetizers, mains, desserts and help yourself can-drinks. Very nice Duck confit and Escargot croissant (must try) at it's price. Perfect casual afternoon lunch hidden gem. Don't expect too much from the service since it's so cheap.

Celebrity steakhouse restaurant, but over-hyped. Very good quality meats no doubt, but not as good as other steakhouses with 20% lower price.

Good dim sum you can find after midnight. Prices have increased, but still has good value compared to going to a expensive restaurant. Local, authentic style dim sum. Try it! Go for the salted egg yolk custard bun :)

Was there during Restaurant Week and had a splendid time. They serve you little margarita shooters while they set your table and dazzla with good service. Be prepared to pay a significant price, but the food is quite good overall, although they didn't cook my pasta al dente. Other than that, the rest of the dinner was amazing.

Excellent Rib eye cap steak cut, although the black pepper sauce tasted like supermarket bought bottled sauce. Signature Whisky Sour is also a must try. With modern American wood fixtures of the classic steakhouse, Bedrock has a very comforting ambience and excellent staff. Prices are high, but not as high as celebrity restaurants and certainly worth the value.
