Does anyone know an artist that might be interested?

6d6 Needs An Artist (And a Video Editor)

6d6 are planning a Kickstarter for their new book, 6d6 Hellenic: The New Age of Legends. We require artwork for the book and to make a great sales video for the Kickstarter. Our aim is to combine these requirements by using the book’s artwork in the Kickstarter video. Using techniques such as the Ken Burns effect and parallax, along with a professional voice-over artist, we aim to bring the artwork to life in the video.

We require an artist and a video editor to work on this project. We believe people should be paid for their work and will pay appropriate rates. However, 6d6 is a typically cash strapped, part-time RPG business so our budget is small and we wish some of the payment to be linked to the success of the Kickstarter.

Our needs are very specific and its vital applicants read and understand the full briefing. Download The PDF

If you are interested in either role, please email Chris@6d6Fireball.com with examples of your work.

The Bourbon Family Tree

Kentuckians like to tell you that 95 percent of the world's bourbon comes from their state. What they won't tell you is that pretty much every last drop of that bourbon comes from a handful of conglomerate distilleries. In this chart—excerpted from The Kings County Distillery Guide to Urban Moonshining, on shelves now—the guys behind Brooklyn's oldest craft distillery parse out, once and for all, the complicated kissing cousins of the bluegrass state's bourbon industry.

Werner Koch's code powers the email encryption programs around the world. If only somebody would pay him for the work.

A Curved Wall of Glass That Flickers as the Wind Blows
http://blog.adafruit.com/2015/01/27/a-curved-wall-of-glass-that-flickers-as-the-wind-blows/

Shade, an installation which just wrapped up in London, is one striking example. It’s a 1,500 square-foot facade of curved glass, fragmented into small triangular cells. Wind outside is measured at several points along the facade. The gusts are interpreted by a program, triggering individual cells to change from opaque to transparent. The result is an ever-changing ballet of light on the gallery floor. In the morning hours, the pattern is hard and angular pattern. As the sun moves overhead, the floor glows with a softer mosaic of sunlight.

If you've ever felt a pinch of envy while watching someone's life on their Facebook wall, you should watch this video.
Everyone on Facebook looks like they're having a great time. Fun adventures, deep romances, amazing jobs. It's enough to make you feel inadequate, but it's also a lie. Nobody is really as happy as their Facebook wall claims, as this piercing short from HigtonBrothers confirms.

Yep, this is a problem

We just updated our Transparency Report, showing how many requests Google gets for information about its users. But we're not allowed to give the full story because the U.S. government says that requests under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) must be kept secret. We can tell you this: Requests have more than doubled around the world since 2009, and more than tripled in the U.S.: http://g.co/u5sp

Share this if you believe you have a right to know what our governments are up to.
