I don't play very many video games but I kind of wish I played them more. I love stuff like this.

We've built a small secret room in our house for our children to discover. One of the features in the room is a bookshelf where we're putting secret room themed books.

We've started to make a list of books, but haven't gotten too far beyond the obvious -- Alice in Wonderland, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Diamond in the Window. I'm fine with books that are not necessarily about secret rooms, but have some secret area element (The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler or The Secret Garden or the Harry Potter books, for example). We're primarily looking for children's or YA literature. Suggestions?

Would Charlie and the Chocolate Factory qualify? The factory is a bit of a mystery IIRC.

This article is incredible. Where to begin.

The man was Matthew Gonshaw, the most notorious egg collector in Britain. An unemployed Londoner, Gonshaw had already served three prison terms on egg-collecting charges. When he was last apprehended, in 2004, investigators had seized nearly six hundred eggs, a hundred and four of them hidden inside a secret compartment in his bed frame.

The whole article is really worth a read. But one last line that caught our eye: Why isn’t the company massively boosting production now, knowing that it will be sitting on a gold mine in 20 years?

Julian Proctor Van Winkle, the chief of the company, explains his caution against going all in: “They legalize marijuana, and nobody is drinking bourbon anymore. I don’t want to get caught with a bunch of whiskey.”

I'll start of [sic] by saying I strongly disagree with Communism and the Communist ideas this bookstore promotes.  Nevertheless I am giving the place 5 stars.
