So lovely to read your anecodotes and get a glimpse of how wonderful you are all settling down in Melbourne with the latest small addition to the family. I LOVE summer. It's my favourite season here. Most folks prefer the cooler seasons but I don't mind the heat. It's the best excuse to do all the summery things like swimming, water play, eating icy poles and going out for plays in the park. And arrrghhhh... your baby.... I could just eat his cheeks up!

What unusual and bold flavour combinations with papaya/pawpaw.... I like the sound of the prawn and papaya. And definitely curious about the papaya pizza. Quite an interesting challenge featuring a fruit in such a major way in the menu this way. The dessert sounds especially good, I feel like picking up a papaya this weekend if just for the sake of trying out something sweet like that!

What a clever and yummy game! My kids are not old enough to spell yet, but I like the idea of using letter shaped cookies to teach letter recognition to my preschoolers. Thank you so much for sharing this idea!

Happy first bloggy anniversary! I still remember when you were sharing your half year anniversary with us! I enjoyed reading this post about all the ups and downs and good and bads of your journey. The last one was especially lovely. It shows that every single thing we do has an impact whether we realised it or not. I feel frustrated sometimes when nobody seems to care about what I write (especially personal friends who never comment or maybe never admit to reading or stalking my blog). But that inspiring story about your friend is really very encouraging.

Tell me about those blogger conundrums... I try to have a few backup posts in my drafts, but sometimes they don't feel quite right or ready to be published and sometimes I just feel like rambling about something else, or nothing at all! Keep writing!

What a terrific and memorable story! And it was really so kind and sporting of him to do something so unconventional. The only man I've ever swapped clothes with is my hubby.... although I wouldn't call it swapping. I just "borrow" his shirts... especially during my pregnancy, they were just so much more comfy.

Great list! I definitely need to add more natural material in my environment. I would also add 'sand' to this list too... goes well with water!

Thanks for sharing this snippet into your journey. You've certainly come a long way in yours going by the various posts I've been exploring to get to know you. Thanks for popping by my corner. And yes, early childhood educators deserve heaps more than what they currently usually earn :)

Thanks for this reminder to look up at the big picture. I get caught up easily sometimes and fixate on the little nuisances as well... fussy eaters, breakfast mess, babies not napping. But it's these little inconveniences surrounding me that are evidence that life is still happening, things are still good, we have food, we have babies, we have love.

found this really interesting and insightful. i've recently just started my own family day care and doing my cert III studies. it's been a big career and life change for me but really enjoying it. it can get pretty tiring and busy, but at least i'm now pursuing what i truly want to do.
