Awesome abuse of borders!
How to use pseudo-elements to create pure CSS speech bubbles from existing, semantic HTML. This approach uses progressive enhancement and removes the need for images or JavaScript.

Put your code in github and your api in mashape. Seems like an awesome service. Can't wait to get home to try it out.
Augusto Marietti, Marco Palladino and Mike Zonca founded Mashape in November 2010 to create a unified, all-in-one marketplace where one could go to find, sell, distribute, and hack on APIs, believing ...

Best terminal ever. Always on top, transparent, can be called and dismissed with single key and persist on all virtual desktops.
What is it. Guake is a top-down terminal for Gnome (in the style of Yakuake for KDE, Tilda or the terminal used in Quake). You can check the screenshots to get a small feeling about it. How to get it....

I hate it when they say PC and mean Windows
I hate it when they say Linux and mean "Ubuntu compatible on a PC"

Why not just call OS by their name.

I'll try to keep this article in mind when designing UIs.
A paraphrased transcript of my talk at SMX Munich 2013. Let's start with a little game. In iOS, there's an ad tracking feature that allows advertisers to identify you (albeit anonymously). It's turned on by default. Let's see if we can work out how to turn it off together.

Interesting take on user account registration. I think I'll try this out on some project.
Logging in to web sites is ironically one of the most difficult tasks put before our users. Usernames and passwords are hard to remember, and harder than ever to type on the tiny on-screen keyboards.....

That is one of those "it is totally obvious after you hear it" cases.

Just noticed that GoDaddy tries to charge me 20% extra if I try to buy some domains with Firefox instead of Chrome. I wonder how they are deciding the price.
Go Daddy makes registering Domain Names fast, simple, and affordable. Find out why so many business owners chose Go Daddy to be their Domain Name Registrar.

Good bye 'ndiswrapper-bin' and 'plugin-container'. Theres only Chrome 20 now. Hopefully everything will work better now and I don't have to kill flash every now and then anymore.

There are no reasons at all in theory for people to change URIs (or stop maintaining documents), but millions of reasons in practice. In theory, the domain name space owner owns the domain name space ...

Yes, it would be nice. Unfortunately people seem to be consistently ignoring the message and instead going for http://mydomain/somesoftware/index.php?sessid=foo&articleid=hexgibberish&tracking_id=wemonitoryou&...

And when they actually bother to implement "pretty URLs", you get something like /latestnews/heading+of+the+article/123562345123 where the number makes all the difference and the human-readable part can be modified or even removed without changing anything.

Web forums very often fail at providing links to the right page of the thread (or preferably, to the right message). Consider /somebbs/thread/1235123?page=4. If the user is not logged in and the forum displays the default 10 messages per page, that link brings you to messages 31-40. If the user is logged in and has configured the forum to display 100 messages per page, the same link shows messages 391-400. There is no way to know which message was meant unless you know which setting the creator of that link used.
