Do you frequently feel drained out, dissatisfied and discontent with your life? Is there a part of you that wishes that there’s more harmony between your outer and inner world? Do you feel that your reality does not reflect on who you truly are at your core?

Establishing a healthy work-life balance has become an important priority for many people today. While learning to manage our time is an essential component of establishing balance, what’s even more important is having the ability to meet our essential needs and to live in a state of mindfulness.

But nature is defined by balanced and going against this causes anxiety. Judging from the escalating levels of stress and intake of antidepressants it’s clear that a significant portion of the population lack guidance on how to find balance even though they may want to be calm and centered.

In this week’s post, I describe the importance of maintaining a sense of equilibrium and the steps that you can take to ensure that you live in this peaceful state as much as possible. Using a combination of the Eastern tradition of Buddhism and cognitive behavioral techniques, I’ll outline a simple process to get back into balance.
