I recently ordered the Cordless Top Down Bottom Up Cellular Shades from Select Blinds. The size and quality seemed fine when we installed it. However, only after 1 week of installation, one of the blinds fell apart. Since its installation, the blind has remained drawn and almost untouched. It turns out the fabric/shade had come apart from the plastic because there had only been a double sided tape holding them together. This brings me to question the overall quality and longevity of these blinds. As this broken blind covers the largest window on the street facing level of my house, my most immediate concern was to get a replacement ASAP. I tried to reach customer service over the phone, but was on hold for over 45 minutes and couldn't get through to anyone. I then went to the website to live chat a rep and finally go through. The rep was able to order a replacement but wasn't able to help expedite the production process nor provide same-day shipping for the replacement. As a result, I have not yet received the replacement and it doesn't look like I will be getting it until a week or more after I reported the issue. This means my home will be fully exposed at street-level with no privacy in the interim. In this situation, I would have expected that the company to everything possible to expedite the replacement process. If the production process is not within control, then I would have expected at least to have had same day shipping once the production was completed. Overall, this has been a disappointing experience with Select Blinds. I am left concerned about the remaining blinds and the quality of them. In addition, I am still waiting for blinds and no solution has been offered by the company, except to deal with it and wait. Unfortunately I do not think I will be a returning customer and certainly would not dare to recommend the company or products to anyone else.

This is my third whole house blinds order from select blinds without any problems or complications. Measurements have always been perfect and nobody else comes close to their pricing for such great quality. Shipping from the time I order online to front door delivery is extremely fast. Select Blinds will always have my business!

We got the blackout double cell cellar shades and love them! I work overnights and these block out all the sun except for a very small amount on the edges. Not even enough sun that would keep me awake. They were very easy to install and I would buy them again in a heart beat! I think they look much better than ordinary blinds as well! Be sure you get your measurements right. Only thing I would do next time is add 1/2 to 1 full inch onto the length of the shade so you have a little extra room at the bottom instead of the blind being tight. Highly recommend!

Thoughts on Select Blinds Premier Double Cell Light Filtering Shades The GREAT The blinds now look wonderful, the material is nice and the colors are accurate and match the color samples we got before ordering. The cordless feature is very nice and works well. We ordered four blinds- 3 were cordless, one with a continuous loop cord. The cordless blinds were the easiest to install and the operation is nice. I was a bit worried about not having a cord, but I can say I like them a lot. The time estimates for construction and shipping were very accurate and I appreciated all the email updates that kept me informed. I was offered free installation which was a BIG surprise and a wonderful offer. However being a DIY perfectionist I turned down the offer and much to my surprise was offered a rebate. Very nice. The NOT SO GREAT One of the blinds came without the fabric wrapped rail top and bottom (as stated on the web site). This was an issue as three blinds were a part of a bay window and to have them all match was important. This same blind was not long enough to reach the bottom sill of the window. It was not acceptable leaving a gap at the bottom which light came through. It took a while and some persistence to convince the representatives that these issues were a problem and needed to be addressed. Finally the blind was remade and sent out to us at no cost. I appreciate the effort made, but there were still issues. The bottom rail was now fabric wrapped in the front but white in color which did not match the blind. This company is NOT in control of their quality issues and they are using a production facility which does NOT understand the consumer. The TERRIBLE It was a fight from the start about the blind that didn’t match specifications. It was hard to believe that the representatives tried to claim the statements on the web site did not represent how the blind would be made. The issue of the rails being fabric wrapped became a point of contention. The web site clearly states “All rails top and bottom will be fabric wrapped.” The new blind sent out was not totally correct. Yes the top and bottom rail were now fabric wrapped, but the bottom rail was now ‘white’ not the pumpkin color we selected. It is strange that the first blind was sent out with a bottom rail that was painted to match the pumpkin color we selected. Yet the front of the rail was not fabric wrapped. The replacement blind was more correct, the top rail was both painted the pumpkin color and fabric wrapped. The bottom rail was fabric wrapped, but NOT painted pumpkin color. This was not correct and annoying. When you raised the blind the white color on the bottom rail clashed with the rest of the blind. I have used both the old and the new blind to fabricate a blind that is totally correct. Hard to believe that I have to do the work that should have been done by Select Blinds in the first place. FINAL THOUGHTS I think that Select Blinds has a quality product, when made correctly. I believe that Select Blinds needs to resolve their manufacturing issues, especially when if comes to specific blinds.

Don't order the "no holes privacy" blinds! To be honest, they shouldn't even sell them, they are THAT bad! We made the mistake of ordering $359 worth of blinds (4 wooden ones) which are beautiful except they don't stay lined up at all. Every time you open and close the blinds you need to spend about 5 minutes moving each slat back into position otherwise they look jagged along the sides. I called to see about a return and found out that despite their claims, satisfaction is NOT guaranteed. The customer service rep told me I'd have to pay $179 (50%) to replace them. So now we either suck it up and pay the money or live with something we hate.

This is a real review of an order #3730521. Just to be upfront over the last 10 years I have ordered blinds from Select Blinds without any issues and given the past satisfaction with Select Blinds I placed an order for 3 new blinds. I placed the order on October 15, 2105 and was notified that I should get shipment by November 6. On November 6, I received notice that the order was going to be delayed till November 13, then on November 13, I received notice that the order was going to be shipped November 20. I called them to complain and they offered me 20% off the order and then told me the shipment would arrive on November 20. November 20 came and went and no blinds, so I called on November 21 and was told they were going to ship on November 26. I told them that I wanted to cancel my order and they asked me to hold to see what they could do for me. Their offer was that they would cancel my order. They have a satisfaction guaranteed on their site. Obviously, there is a limit to how much they can satisfy. I would just be aware that they told me that they were having problems with a manufacturer that they are no longer working with. I am not satisfied and very disappointed that they dragged me along and deceived me about the shipment dates. Its obvious that they knew they were having problems with the vendor and should have told me that the order was not going to be manufactured, now Thanksgiving is coming up and I hoped to have blinds for my kitchen and will have nothing to cover my windows. I will now have to start from scratch to get my blinds. Hopefully not too many people got caught in their manufacturing issues, but I would just be cognizant of this issue when you order and hope for the best

Select blinds was recommended to me by a friend. I am so happy for the recommendation. The free samples are delivered so quickly and give you a great idea of the products. The website is user friendly and tells you everything you need to know how to measure everything and goes over all your options while ordering. They keep you informed of your order after ordering and delivery is quick. I've had a very pleasant experience from start to finish.

First, order LKTD65 was apparently lost & we had to call several times to locate it. It took two weeks for delivery and products arrived damaged - some obviously before they were packed and some apparently during shipment. Boxes had holes and tears. The headers on two of four blinds were bent & buckled previous to shipment & yet they were still shipped to us that way. The end of three of the four wooden valances were broken & we had to glue together. And they had to be modified to fit bullnose corners. Customer Service did not bother to return our call about all this nor did they respond to our email. All in all, a miserable experience. This was our third order with Select blinds (first two OK) and it is certainly our very last.
