Univarsal Combat, a hardcore space sim by derek smart, is now free on steam. In this game you can be the captain of a capital ship, fighter pilot or foot soldier, or all at once. All set in an open universe. I was quite a fan of this game series back in the day. But be warned, it's quite buggy and weird for today's standards.

It had soo many cool features.. Things I always wanted in a game, and I really put in time to figure it all out, never minding the bugs... or so I thought. for a while... UNTIL I REALIZED HOW TERRIBLE IT ALL WAS. and then I was just sad.. because there where so many cool ideas and I liked all the complexity, but it was so terribly put together...
