Storm Desmond shoogled south of us yesterday and passed us by thankfully so both dog walks today were dry which is quite an achievement after the rain these past few weeks. The wind remains an ever present companion but I managed to catch the sun starting to set over the south end of Iona Sound at 3 pm yesterday afternoon.

This afternoon Lainie will be attending her second Agility Class with Paws By The Loch Dog Training. As you can see she is really impressed and raring to go!

An impromptu diversion round the west coast road on Tuesday because the bin lorry had broken down and was blocking the road through Glen More had its benefits - glorious scenery I'm not sure from the look on the faces of the passengers or the drivers on all the coaches as they meandered round these very narrow jaw dropping roads felt quite the same though! #isleofmull #westcoastmotors #singletrackroads

There is nothing quite like a wee bobbin robin to bring a festive smile and warm the cockles of your heart

The stone has remained wet for most of this summer - where has the sun gone, the summer is nearly over and we are still waiting! Has the weather been unseasonable for you too this year?

Lainie's chest wound has healed beautifully helped by water therapy down at Loch Pottie, her mum Megan supervising, a hissing Whooper Swan, 2 grumpy Canada Geese and a rather large stick

I stayed at the Seaview a couple of weeks ago. I would like to say a huge "Thank you" to John, Jane and of course Megan and Lainie for such a welcome and relaxing stay. The Staffa room had a stunning view, the whole place was spotless, comfortable and spacious. As previous guests have stated John's handy hints and information regarding the local trips, food, etc were appreciated and very useful. There was a huge selection for breakfast which kept me going all day. My only regret is that I only stayed for one night... I'll definitely be back :) Thanks again.

A fantastic stay at Seaview B&B recently June 2016. Our room "Lunga" overlooked the bay and it was magic to wake up to see the sheep walking along the beach! Our hosts John and Jane were really helpful in suggesting possibilities for wildlife exploring and getting to Staffa and Iona. Scrumptious breakies cooked and delivered with a smile! Would love to go back again 👍

Hi Ros - thank you so much for your review - it's grand to know we are still getting it right for our guests after 26 years. Lost count on how many breakfasts have been cooked and served up with a smile. Hope you are able to get back sometime. With best wishes John & Jane Noddings

First of All John and Jane are lovely hosts. I Love their dogs Megan and Laine. Jane cooks a wonderful breakfast and John serves it, there are also vegetarian meals. John is so helpful with the history of the area and how to get to a destination. The location is ideal. I had a fair amount of luggage and was relieved it was so close to the Fionnphort ferry landing and bus stop.Easy access to Iona ferry. There is a small store next door That has the essentials and small gifts, great cards! There is an ATM but the machine can be a bit fussy . I took a bus to Tobermory to use the ATM there. I stayed in the Staffa room and woke up every morning to a beautiful view. The bathroom for this room is a private bathroom it is across the hall and was exclusively mine. The other rooms have the bathroom en suite. Everything is very clean and love the interior decorating. There is a restaurant next door The Keel row food is good and has a nice selection. On Thursday night the locals get together and play music and sing. They are friendly and warm. My only regret for this Band B is that I had to leave. Thanks Jane and John (Megan and Lainie) will be back!!!

These two people are THE SEAVIEW....very friendly & helpful, felt very much home from home. The accommodation is faultless & front room views stunning. We were awarded the status of 5 star guests but the hosts smash this comment out of the park! A massive thank-you, DR Brown-trout & Cholestrol Free.

Lovely B&B with beautiful rooms and a perfect setting for visits to Iona. Breakfast was marvellous in quality and choices. Jane and John really made the stay one of the best I had in three weeks roaming Scottish Highlands and Islands on my motorbike. Definitely my first choice for the next trip to Mull which hopefully will be next year. Thank you for your great hospitality!

We could not have had a warmer or kinder reception than we received from John, Jane and the dogs at Seaview. Every part of our stay there was beautiful and comfortable. With all the privacy we could have wanted, we also felt temporarily part of the family. John and Jane were some of the kindest hosts, going out of their way to ensure we were not lost, without direction, or indeed without anything we might have needed. We felt personally cared for, and this was such a special treat. How we have missed the place since we left and how much we would love to return!

Haste ye back John, Jane and Megan & Lainie too

It's a little late to be writing a review considering it has been a year and a half since my visit to this wonderful B&B on my honeymoon. The time we spent at Seaview B&B was one of our fondest memories in Scotland, and Iona Abbey only sweetened our experience on Mull. Not to mention they served the best Scottish breakfast in all of Scotland (not joking, we traveled the entire country and it was by far the best!). I can't wait to return to this little worldly gem......

Thank you Graham for such a lovely review - we are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Seaview and thrilled with your accolade for our breakfast being the best Scottish breakfast in all of Scotland. Do come back and stay again soon.

The location, quality of accommodation & the service deserve 5 stars. Seaview's position with its own car parking for guests near the jetty, could not be bettered for visiting Iona, Staffa, Lunga and the other islands. As a former fisherman, John knows the local waters, the islands, the crews that operate the boats to the islands as well as Mull itself. The en-suite rooms and guest areas are furnished, decorated & equipped to a high standard and Jane has added tasteful accessories throughout; a home from home. Guests have considerable choice at breakfast, enjoyed looking out to Iona beyond Fionnphort's picturesque bay and little harbour. The service provided by John & Jane is of the highest order, even down to the jug of fresh milk for the tea & coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. That is rare. That's class! We will return.
