We recently received a strange request for web design services. Instead of this potential customer contacting us through our RFP Form or calling us on the phone, they used our general contact form and asked us if we could “handle website design for a new company” and also “if we accept credit cards?” This odd request came from a Jennifer Webb who says her company is called Agric and has a return email address of jonton1990@gmail.com.

As temperatures rise, more insects come out to play. A survey conducted online by Harris Poll for TruGreen in June 2017 found that 60 percent of Americans in the Northeast are worried about ticks ruining their time outside this summer, compared to 48 percent in the Midwest, 35 percent in the South, and 32 percent in the West.Check out the infographic below for further details.

It is a question I get again and again and again, from those with new sites as well as though with older sites that are less than SEO-friendly. A typical answer would be, “Well it all depends…” which is not so far from the truth. With so many variables to consider including the site’s domain authority, on-page SEO best practices, off-page SEO factors as well as competing sites, one site can rank on the first page of Google faster than another.

Let’s face it: designing a website is hard. No matter which program or language you use, it’s tedious. You won’t get it in one shot. Everything is a great exercise of trial and error. There will be glitches, misalignments, broken links, elements, etc., to fix. Getting the right sizes for your texts and images will consume many hours as well.

It should—because that’s all you’ll get if you let Facebook engagement be an end in itself. Likes, comments, and shares are nice, but you shouldn’t settle for “nice” in business.
