Cool! Gulp: it is like Grunt, but so much more sensible and less repetitive. Streams for the win! http://slid.es/contra/gulp   #js

Clever and entertaining ad
This is a brilliant commercial with Edward Norton showcasing all of the core features of the device in a trailer for a sort of quirky guy-involved-over-his-head gangster movie. I don't know if I want the phone more, or want to see Edward Norton make this into a real movie.

My Presentation this Thursday at ExchangeJS:
Recently I'm playing with a full stack cloud based Web application solution built with open source projects like MongoDB, AngularJS and Spring Framework. So I call it "MAS" Stack. On November 7 I will introduce this solution at ExchangeJS local JavaScript community.

A reminder that there's still time to register for this weekend's Startup Edmonton Hackaton. http://www.startupedmonton.com/hackathon/ - Many skills are helpful, not just "developers". Design / marketing / content creation / story writing / "big ideas people" / you name it....!

Love how this Edmonton-area corn maze is the first ever to be Google-StreetViewed. Planning to go this weekend so I won't spoil it by practicing ahead of time.
Something a bit different today. Can you navigate your way through a maze in Street View? Click the link to find out! http://goo.gl/OKy3hn

Explore further on #StreetView on your computer or phone at http://goo.gl/OKy3hn. (iPhone users: Download the Google Maps app at http://goo.gl/4oENi). #businessphotos

Happy July! Just a reminder to all that we're on hold for July and August. We'll see you again in September!

An interesting development. Almost angular-esk, as it involves tempting DOM elements versus processing strings-to-DOM.
Wrote up an introduction to the new <template> element. It's part of the web components ecosystem but of course, can be used standalone.

If you view the article in Chrome (dev), the live demos should work.

Cool. Hopefully we'll see a markshare bump soon! (Our network of hundreds of sites across Canada still barely registers IE10 traffic.)
